Did you get your LO a gift when they were baptized/christened? O's baptism is next month and it just occurred to me that we should probably get him something special. We already have a children's bible and I am sure he will be getting many more from family members. Not sure what else to get!! Any ideas? Should his party just be his gift? I know he doesn't care/know if we get him anything. He is 7 months....

We got her a little silver cross necklace to wear. Just one from Target. Didn't spend much on it, mostly cause I forgot till last minute. But she got lots of crosses and pictures to hang on her wall from family. Along with keepsake boxes, piggy banks, books and bibles.

I was just thinking about this recently! I don't think you need to get something, but certainly can! I think it also depends on your family's traditions. For example, in my family the godparents buy a cross necklace for the baby. We will probably buy LO a special bracelet or I was also considering an add a pearl necklace (the starter).

I got her a porcelain cross with a child on it that we hung on her wall near her door. I had one when I was a child and I wanted her to have one just like it.

I'm thinking of maybe getting this from Etsy. Our pastor can use it during the ceremony and then we can hang it on the wall in his nursery...

We didn't get LO anything for her naming- We're Jewish. I didn't think of it! My mom bought her a special dress and threw the party so I didn't even do that for her.
I do love that dish though, it's a great idea and something your LO will keep forever.
