I will be on maternity leave next summer so we really want to do a vacation before I go back to work....not just trips to visit my family in different parts of the state. We are thinking about Hawaii because it is family friendly.
Did you go on any vacations during your maternity leave?

Well, sort of. We went down to Florida to visit his parents. They live on the Gulf and we got some time to go to restaurants and the beach and pool by ourselves (they babysat) so YES! 
It was definitely a vacation since we had some baby sitters there.

We went to New Brunswick to visit DH's extended family and spent a week at his family cottage in Nova Scotia. It was the first vacation we'd taken since our honeymoon and totally overdue.

Yes. We traveled to Vancouver to visit my BFF for a week and to a cottage about 3 hours away for another week.
I wouldn't call maternity leave a vacation!

Yes! We spent a week at Cape Cod w/ my family and also a week at DH's family lakehouse. I was also on leave during the summer. It was awesome!

I went to visit family. It was nice to go for an extended length of time.
