This didn't occur to me... but my last name doesn't have any serial killers that I'm aware of. If so, I might've done some Googling.
Did you Google your kids' names before naming them?

We googled just in case. In fact, we found a charming up and coming teen folk singer named Maisie Mae who we just adore now :). We also found Magnolia studios (Indie film makers)... But no negative connotations.

I only did a couple minutes ago because the other names thread made me curious! There were no results for either of our potential names (we're team green) but that was expected because DH's last name is very rare.

Yep, because when DH and I were dating, he told me that he googled my (maiden) name and it was also a porn star...

No I didn't but my married last name is pretty unusual so I probably should've!

Just did. It was just linked in profiles of people with the same name.

No...we used family names so I'm not sure how much it would have mattered. Looks mostly like linked in profiles.

We only googled his first name for meanings and stuff, not the full name. Off to do that now.

Nope. Our last name is ridiculously common, there are always a bunch of other people with the same exact last name unless you picked something totally crazy and out there.

Yup. Found lots of smart people with her first and last name. Found a female wrestler with her first and middle names. Hilarity right there. It didn't dissuade us from the name, though.

Our last name is a common verb, so you mostly just get something about a girl with her first name doing that verb. It makes us very ungoogable, which I like.

I googled our girl name after @Mrs. Jacks' post this morning... and it one name came up but it was just an elderly woman who passed away. I'll take that!
