My dad gave me one when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade and I cried!
Charlie has had 2 accidental bowl cuts after two bad haircuts (in a salon).
I thought I would want to subject my children to the rite of passage that is a bowl cut, but I hated Charlie's bowl haha. So no more bowls for him or Olive!
Did you have a bowl? Will you give your LO a bowl cut?

I totally did around kindergarden. And I have really dark, thick hair so it was super unattractive. I hope to never subject my child to the bowl cut!

I had a bowl around preschool and kindergarten and I don't plan on giving my LO any bowl cuts!

I had the bowl, but I refuse to make my kids have one! Cecilia has an A line bob right now (shorter in the back, longer in the front). I do it because it's cute and because she has the propensity to grow a mullet!

I never had a bowl cut but I had the Dora cut: straight chin-length cut...with straight bangs across my forehead.

I never had one, but I have an awesome picture of my mom and her sister when they were little with matching bowl cuts. It's so funny and my mom says that her mom literally used bowls to make the cut even. Not planning on doing one my kid, but her hair is way too curly to do it even if I wanted.

My mom called it a "wedge" cut, however it was very much a bowl cut in my eyes! haha

I definitely had one, although similar to @MrsJYW, I don't remember having the cut, but there is tons of photographic evidence of it!
I don't plan on giving butterbean a bowl cut. I *love* to braid and do hair, so as long as I can figure out how to get her to sit still for long enough, she'll have cute 'dos!

I had one when I was a toddler. When I got older it was replaced by the Dora cut like @rubies.

I didn't but my brother did. And I thought it looked so cute! Unfortunately my son's hair just grows out like that! hahaha. Even the hair stylist said "Oh! He's just born to have a bowl cut!". I think it looks cute on him though. We tried cutting it shorter but the top of his hair grows faster than the hair around his face so it just ends up looking bowlish. =\

I never got a bowl cut but my dad took me to the barber once and I came back with a boy's haircut. I was not a happy camper. I will not give me kids a bowl cut.

I never got one, but my older brother did. My mom kept my hair long until kindergarten, when I got a regular bob, no bowliness.

Haha no but my nephew had one until he was TEN! Poor kid. He finally asked him Mom if he could grow his hair out since he's a cool kid ice hockey player now. He looks much better.

I had the Dorothy Hamill, which is like a slightly more feminine version of the bowl cut. And I had it for WAY TOO LONG. Oh well, at least my mom never let my brother have a rat tail!

No, I never had a bowl cut but my sister did. She has really thick hair so my mom always gave her a bowl cut because it was easier to take care of. I don't think I'll give LO a bowl cut.
