I always think ZuZu is giant but at 13 weeks (I think? Maybe it's 12, I can't remember!) she is still wearing her 0-3 and most of them are loose. Which sucks because I bought her entire summer wardrobe in 3-6 months so hopefully it fits soon!!!

Both of my kids were born pretty average, and then were in the 90+ percentile the first year. DS has slowed down, and is now closer to average at 2. DD is only 10 months old, so we'll see if she slows down

@anonysquire: Not to thread jack but I think it's cute you were jumping ahead-- like you are just so excited to see what next week brings that you are just looking forward to it and jumped the gun a bit!

I think it's still really hard to tell at this point how they will keep growing this year. In part because it depends on what brand clothes you buy. Some brands run so tiny and shrink so much that you might have a kid the same size as someone else but their kid is still wearing newborn sizes. Basically, don't worry! Besides, baby rolls are fabulous!

ETA-- oh and I realized that people move their kids at different rates too which sounds odd but some people prefer the clothes to fit loosely so they move up pretty early and others prefer them to be on the snug/short side before moving up.

That was definitely my son over the first year, but he seems to have plateaued a bit. He was six months old over Christmas and was in 12 month clothing! He'll be a year in a few weeks and is still in some 18 month clothing (he went to 18 month clothing at about 9/10 months) but is also fitting into some of his 24 month and 2T clothing. He's been in the 95th+ percentile since he was born though, so I suppose that makes sense for his body type.

my daughter outgrew things fast but slowed down around 8 months! she's average sized now

DD grew like crazy 0-6m, blasted through sizes, though it was more in length over anything. 6m to 15m I feel like she hardly grew! Since 15m or so she's been growing like a weed again!

Only in height! My kiddo is long and lean. He's almost 4 months and he fills out all of his 3-6 month sleepers. I'm worried that in another month he's going to be busting out of them lengthwise!

LO grew super fast from 0-12 months. After that, he slowed a TON. He is 19m+ and still wears his 12m clothing. He wears 18m too but sometimes it is too big.

DD2 is a giant baby - she was 8 lbs 2 oz at birth and weighed 13 lbs at her six week appt. now, at 16 weeks, she weighs 18 lbs!! I can't remember her exact height but she's been off the charts (literally) there as well.

DD1 was big at this age too, 90th percentile weight, 95th percentile height, but she's slimmed down. Now at 23 months, she's around the 50th percentile for weight and 85th for height.

R was 8.4 at birth but didn't gain a ton of weight. Wore newborn for a month and then only outgrew cause of length. She is 14 months and still can fit in some 9 month or 6-12, but mostly is in 12 months and 12-18 months. She is a buddha belly so needs bigger shirts to cover her belly!!

Yes, she's a giant. She was in 0-3 mths size for maybe 6 weeks... At 9 months she's about 23 lbs and in 18-24mth clothes. It sucks when they outgrow things before hardly wearing them!

DD grew quickly for the first three or four months, but it's slowed down a lot since then. She's 8 months and wears 9 mo clothes, some 12.

LO was almost 9lbs at birth and outgrew newborn stuff within 2 weeks and 0-3 months quickly too. Now at 6 months, he's only in the 20-30th percentile and wearing 6-9 month clothes.

LO grew really fast until 6 months when it slowed down. He had many newborn and 0-3 month outfits he never wore. He has always hated tight fitting clothing, so that made us go up in sizes early.

@Dandelion: C is the same! W stayed in 0-3 month clothes until 5 months and C is busting out of them. I'm sure it will even out as they get closer to a year (I hope)

@Dandelion: LO was in 3m cloths by 2w and in 6m by not even 8w. Like @keepcalmcarrie: 's son he's just tall. He's in 24m/2T cloths now and 27lbs and 32.5in at nearly 14m.

C was out of newborn by 2 weeks and out of 0-3m at 8 weeks. She ended up in 6-9 at 4 months and then has generally been 2-3 months ahead since. It's just now slowed down between 18-24 months. She went into 2T about a month before she turned 2.
