I liked the hospital food but I really wanted Gatorade after I
delivered...my BIL brought me one lemon lime and one orange!
Oh, he also brought us Chipotle the day after I delivered!
Did you have anyone bring food to the hospital?

DH ended up needing to run home for something and came back with a turkey sandwich. He was basically my hero. I craved them throughout my pregnancy and never gave in.

Yep - I'd been craving deli meat all through pregnancy so DH went out and got me some ham and french bread the morning after DD was born! Sadly though, I wasn't really hungry for the first few days after having LO; everyone always said they were ravenous but I just had zero appetite. Sad stories

My friends brought me sushi, which I promptly gobbled in front of everyone. I hadn't eaten in 3 days!

I don't plan on eating ANY of the hospitals food....my mom will bring me middle eastern food because I'll be starving and hospital food grosses me out (just the fact that it comes from a hospital I guess). I'm picky about presentation and appearance and there is something about those trays that creeps me out.

I just ate hospital food. The day I got out of the hospital we had a small party at my house with all of our family (parents, siblings, and grandma) so everyone could come welcome LO home and my mom brought all my favorite foods that I couldn't have when I was pregnant. Bagels with lox and soft cheeses.

Haven't had the baby yet but I already told DH and my parents one of them will be getting me Jimmy John's from across the street right after!

They delivered my dinner the first night and it was disgusting salisbury steak, I took one look at it and covered it back up. My sister and dad went out and got Panera for everyone instead. I also had DH bring some snacks for the second day, they served dinner at 4:30 and I knew I'd get hungry again!

We were in the hospital for a few days with DS, so DH brought me Thai food and a hamburger during my stay. Yum!

I am excited about the hospital food. It actually good. One night you get a sirloin dinner for two with potatoes, cheescake and sparkling cider. The rest of your stay you can order anything you want at anytime (that the kitchen is open). Build your own wraps, pizza, steak, the desserts are pretty good too.

@Mrs. Jacks: I think I'll ask for sushi this time!

I was starving after I delivered and it was late, so the only thing the hospital had at that point was cold sandwhiches. So DH got me a cheeseburger, fries, and a huge coke. It was heaven.

We brought snacks for my husband who I knew would be hungry. I scarfed them up the second night, though. I was so hungry!! My husband brought me some sushi and one of my friends brought me a mocha. Mmmmm.
Our hospital food was actually quite good. They had Chick Fil A sandwiches, pizza, sushi and lots of other delicious things. I really enjoyed the meals that were sent to me. I might have eaten three grilled cheese sandwiches one day.

No, I thought the hospital food was just fine. I wasn't really dying to eat anything from the outside world.

My hospital had great food. I also ordered a huge pizza my first night - I carried high my entire pregnancy, and I wasn't ever able to eat much. I was so thrilled to be able to put down a real meal as soon as I delivered.

Emma isn't due to arrive until Tuesday (hopefully!), but I've already informed DH he will be getting me a fully loaded Spicy Italian from Subway post-birth time. I haven't bent on the unheated deli meat rule at all, and its all I've wanted the last two months- I deserve that sammy!

I was STARVING after I delivered (water broke at midnight, delivered at 3:30pm and hadn't eaten since dinner the night before at 6pm). Once LO was out I was shaking because I had no energy left. My dad brought me a Quizno's turkey sub and it was seriously the best food I've ever eaten!

I really wanted a turkey sandwich, so DH set to get me one around twelve hours after I delivered....but it was so late I didn't think anything would be open except fast food drive through. I was so hungry (finally) that I would have been happy with anything he brought me. Turns out the hospital cafe was open 24/7 and make the most amazing sandwiches. I seriously still dream about that thing...in the top 3 best sandwiches I've ever eaten.

No. The hospital food was pretty good. I helped myself to all the stir-fry I could eat.
I love that everyone wanted Jimmy John's. That was my biggest preggo craving too. I finally gave in towards the end and just nuked some JJ's for lunch. I actually like it better that way now.
