I wasn't planning on it but my MIL wants me to reconsider.

No, thought about it but so many of my family members have allergies I skipped it.

Nope. We kept the decorations really cheap. I put colorful party hats on all the tables instead.

No. I thought about getting some to match the décor but didn't miss them when I didn't have them. If MIL wants them, MIL can bring them.

No. Originally I planned to have some, but skipped it. Even with making the cakes myself and using a lot of the baby shower decorations it was getting expensive. My MIL also loves flowers at events (on more than one occasion has made negative comments about people's weddings because there were not enough flowers for her taste)! Can't please everyone!

@mediagirl: Ya, she wants to bring them l but I just don't know if I want them. Eh, it might be easier just to say yes and tell her which colors to bring!

DD's birthday is in December, and her colors were various pinks. We just bought a potted pink poinsettia for the food table. We also had an arrangement in the living room that DH had bought for me as a gift for the anniversary of having her, but those weren't bought specifically for the party or to match.

@autumnlove: meh, let her bring 'em. Just demand the right colors!

I had some sitting on our kitchen table, but not for decorations for the party. It was pretty casual so I saved the money.

I had 1 vase on the table in the foyer along with a sign that said Happy Birthday

Yes; tons!! I love fresh flowers but never buy them for myself, but for LO's birthday it was ON! Did bouquets in watering cans, large antique mason jars and vintage tall tea cups (peter rabbit themed party)

Yep! I wanted to skip them, but my mom went out and bought some. They added a nice touch.
I had some really pretty arrangements at DD's restaurant party too

I did! I bought them from a grocery store the day of. I think it made it cheery and girly!

It was a garden party, but to cut costs I made tons of tissue paper flowers. For her second I got flowers, and will again for future parties. I love flowers

Nope, but ours was pretty simple at home and flowers didn't cross my mind.

I did! Just went to Trader Joes and bought 6 bouquets and made my own arrangements. Cost $30 since I already had random vases.

I never thought of it, but after seeing @yoursilverlining: pictures, I kind of want to.
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@Dandelion: ya, I don't want her to spend too much time and effort or money...but yes, she is insisting! I better decide on my colors!
@yoursilverlining: so pretty! I love pale pink flowers!

I lovvvee fresh flowers but my dad is sensitive to the pollen inside the house so we probably won't.

I put some freesia on the table with the food and drinks. Love flowers!

@autumnlove: No because I have a boy and depending on the theme I feel like flowers can be hard to pull off. If I had your MIL I would have flowers at all my events!

I think we grabbed a bunch of flowers at the grocery store and stuck them in a vast on the table. Nothing fancy...
