I wonder about how my views on this will change when I have kids.

I had no kids under 12 at my wedding. I did offer a babysitter for out of town guests.

The only children that were welcome at our wedding were our nephews. We didn't get one peep from anyone about the fact that we didn't invite kids either, so that was nice. We did offer to all of our friends and family that had children that we could help them find a sitter for the night (we would not pay for it). No one took us up on it. Everyone wanted to leave their kids at home, go to a wedding and party.

We will have a 5 month old when my cousin gets married in November and we aren't expecting her to be invited. My husband is planning on staying in the hotel with her for the ceremony. During the "Catholic Break" I will go back and nurse or pump. I will then go to the reception for an hour or two after that. Can't drink, so I'll stay through the celebration portion of the night and then head out. They'll understand.

We invited children but as a wedding guest, I wouldn't want to bring my LO to a wedding until she's at least 4 or 5 and can follow directions. It's just too exhausting running after a toddler and keeping them out of trouble, especially in heels.

we invited kids but we had a daytime wedding and it was fairly casual. as a guest i'm ok with kids either being invited or not. it's fun to have an adult night out once in a while.

We had two toddlers at our wedding (one was the flower girl) and one boy around 10. Our wedding was pretty casual. I didn't even notice the kids were there to be honest. If it had been bigger and I had know a lot of people with children then I might have had a no child policy.

I will be honest and say two things DID happen with children at our large wedding.
ONE- My BF who was a BM was horrible and didnt watch her son very well. Non the less he may or may not have been intoxicated by the end of the night. I actually caught him grab a RANDOM glass of a table and drink it. I ran over to him and told him couldnt, then def made sure to give her the heads up and to watch him better. He was about to be 5 at the time.

TWO-Then one of my older cousin has 9 kids. YES 9! They left the wedding and actually forgot a child behind. Good grief!

We invited kids to our wedding. We have tons of little cousins, nieces and nephews and just felt that it wouldn't be the same without them there. They were very well behaved so there were no issues for us.

We've attended weddings where children were not allowed and it didn't bother us one bit (completely understand). Not to mention that they were all evening weddings that ended at 10pm so it would've been too late to for our LO anyway. We just found a babysitter for the night and my husband and I had a great time at the wedding....just the two of us.

We had some children at our wedding.. I think the youngest was 4? They did really well and actually made the wedding funner/cuter.

We had kids and had a table all set up for them with coloring books, games and even pizza! They loved it and we loved knowing that for once my little cousins weren't complaining about how boring a wedding was. I would definitely do it again knowing what i know now except i would make sure there are more games for them to play.

We had kids and a babysitter for dinner time (couldn't fit seating for the kids at dinner but didn't want to exclude them completely).

We didn't know a ton of kids but there were several babies and toddlers and then a few older kids. It worked well and I'd have them there again.

We got invited to a kid free wedding when baby was about 3 months old. I was a bit nervous about going since it was an hour away, I couldn't just pop back if something went wrong, but my mom came up to watch her and even though we were gone about 8 hours it all worked out well and was probably good for me to see it work out well. And we did have fun without her (we would have had fun with her too).

There were at least ten kids at our wedding (ranging from 10 months to 9 years), and they were all wonderful. They loved the music - danced most of the night. Great photos from it. They DID insist that I toss the bouquet, but it was only for the little ones, so it was fine by me (all the single women there were staying-single-thank-you-very-much. Which is why I didn't want to do it.)
