Eww, why would you keep that?

Um, we lost part of it? There was a little bit that we saw when it fell off but most of it just disappeared. We will probably find it somewhere when we move!

So no, did not save that little scab.

I wouldn't even touch it without a wipe.

I kept it in a zip lock. To be honest, I don't know why I did that.

Ehh...I'm sentimental but I doubt I will keep it. I can't imagine going through LO's baby memorabilia one day and being like "Oh, and here is your umbilical stump!"

He would probably be like, "WTF mom."

When the time comes, I will absolutely throw it out. I'm very sentimental but pieces of old skin or skin cells or teeth are not something I need to treasure... (Locks of hair and teeth included!)

I have absolutely no intention of keeping it and every intention of making DH get rid of it as fast as humanly possible. Umbilical stumps are one of the few things that really freak me out, I remember being terrified of my little brother until his fell off (he's 8 years younger than me). Whenever I visit friends with newborns, I'm always scared they'll have the baby half-naked and I'll be forced to look at it...no idea how I'm going to deal with my own baby's during those first couple weeks.

LOL! I totally kept it! She's going to be one next week. It's in a little wooden box with her name on it. It's hard and petrified now. I could tape it into her baby book?

I kinda keep it to freak people out.

AHHHH gag me! I almost threw up when I realized my dad kept his freaking kidney stones. Knowing my husband though, he's probably going to want to keep it.

Ew, no way, it smelled NASTY. That is totally crazy pants that your MIL wanted it! It's one thing for a parent to want it, but a grandparent?!

So gross! I hated when it was hanging by a thread. Then the next time I changed her dipe it was gone. I located it in the foot of her pjs and promptly threw it out. Lots of people ask me why I didn't keep it because I'm a scrapbooker. Um what?! Definitely not going to design a page around her grody little stump.

I kept it! My mom kept mine all wrapped up like it was something special, so I never really gave it a second thought. It's in a tiny box somewhere.

But I guess it is kind of weird. Why did I keep rotting flesh lying around?

I kept LO's in a small plastic box... not sure why, but I'm blaming it on postpartum hormones causing me to feel extra sentimental at the time.

I also saved a lock of his hair from his first haircut... am I just a weirdo??
