We didn't register for the glider, dresser, or crib. We bought those. We were given a car seat.

We picked out and bought the crib and stroller. It's not that I wanted to buy them, but I didn't think anyone would buy us anything that big, and the crib I wanted was from a local store, not BBB or Amazon where I registered.

I left off furniture but some smaller things that I had purchased myself, like a changing pad and bath tub, I put on the registry and marked as purchased so that someone browsing the registry would know we already had those items.

We bought the crib, dresser, glider, and car seat ourselves. We also purchased them months before the shower.

We bought the crib, dresser, glider , and stroller because they were big ticket items that we didn't expect people to purchase for us (parents ended up gifting us the dresser). We also bought the changed table because I wanted a keekaroo and BRU doesn't carry it.

We didn't register the stroller and car seat because we wanted pricey ones and my BFF had a 30% off corporate discount. My mom wanted to buy those for us so she gave us cash. My inlaws wanted to buy bigger items but live out of state so we registered for the crib and mattress which they got us. We bought our own jumperoo and we will buy our own convertible car seat. I also listed but crossed off things I found for super duper cheap like a nursing pillow and a changing pad BC I didn't want someone to get us one bc we "forgot" to register for it. We also registered for Amazon gift cards.

I bought a City Mini stroller and a B-Safe carseat myself on steep discount. I didn't want to ask for anything that expensive, and I knew nobody else would deal stalk like I did.

I also bought our crib and dresser at Ikea (same idea as above), and snagged a pristine wood glider at Goodwill.

In retrospect I probably could have put the extra car seat base on the registry.

We didn't register for any nursery furniture or decor etc.

I left the car seat off because I wanted to buy what I wanted. Most people bought stuff that was on the registry, but not the one I registered for, which is totally fine for everything but the car seat lol. I was fanatical about the car seat!

We purchased all furniture and the swing ourselves.

The biggest things on my registry were the carrier and the pump (this was back before pumps were covered under insurance). We bought ALL the major gear ourselves: stroller, car seat, crib, bouncer, high chair, swing, etc. I bought about half of that stuff used. I had a small shower though and half of my friends were students at the time, so I certainly didn't expect anyone to buy expensive gifts.

I debated putting the pump on my registry (my insurance only covered a single manual) and I'm glad I did. My office gave me a gift card for the amount of the pump and then DH's office actually bought the pump. I did leave off the nipple cream and accessories.

Just cloth diapers. Not because I really *wanted* to buy them myself, but more because I didn't want to hear the comments from the peanut gallery, which we were already getting ("Good luck with that!" "You're crazy!" "You'll give up after a month.") Everything else went on the registry, if for no reason other than being able to use the completion discount.

Clothes! Didn't work though. We got a ton anyway even though none were on the registry and we kept the gender a secret until the shower.

Crib, dresser, rocker, mobile. Also a swing because I knew I could get one used for so much cheaper- ended up getting one free.,

We didn't put the dresser or bookcase or rocking chair (already had them) or decor. Everything else (cloth diapers included) went on there. I didn't register for a pump, but I got it though insurance.
