If so, which website did you use? I've only ever made photo books through Shutterfly. I'd like to start the book now so that hopefully I can finish soon after her first birthday.

I haven't made one for a LO, but I use MyPublisher for our yearly photo book. It's super easy to use. The one negative is it cuts you off at 100 pages. I spend around $50 for a hardcover 100 page book with lay flat pages.

I'll be making one on Mixbook.com ... I've used them for other photobooks and have been very happy. There's always really good coupons floating around the internet!

I did on blurb. It is more expensive than shutterfly in my experience but I use blurb for the big fancy books that i want to keep for a long time, but shutterfly for quicker gift books. Like I made the grandparents a quick 20 page book of our recent trip on shutterfly.
Blurb makes it easy to do blog to book if that is what you are basing your book off of. It pulls in the blog posts you select and then it can either organize them for you (this creates a lot of pages if you have a picture heavy post) or let you add them one by one (i would recommend this way). You can also completely customize your layouts so that is one of the other winning features for me.
It was a labor of love but it is worth it and LO (now 2 1/2) loves looking at her book. I am just now trying to make one for last year too!

I use Adorama for my important photobooks, the pages are super thick and sturdy, I love them!

I love AdoramaPix, but they're $$$.
I used MyPublisher for our family yearbook and they run good specials. My photographer uses MixBook and loves them. I don't have any personal experience with them though.

I just used Shutterfly. Blurb doesn't have as many layouts and I wanted more options. But this way I could do them on my lunch break at work.
I made 4 for the first year. Mar-May, Jun-Aug, Sept-Nov, Dec-Feb, along with one for my pregnancy, labor, and then the first couple days home.

@Smurfette: Shutterfly has a "year of firsts" photo book that I think I'm going to use. I looked at the other sites but I like that Shutterfly has lots of sample pages that I can use and just fill my pics in. This book is going to be over 50 pages I bet. I better get started!

@lawbee11: each one of my books was like 50 pages. You will be shocked how many pages you need cause you want to add all the pictures!!!! But I also did other family pictures in the book. Not just of R. Now I am going to do one every 6 months for family pictures.
Also I like Shutterfly cause I make it and keep it ready till they have sale and then I order.

@dolphin: Wow those are gorgeous! I am saving that page for the future. For LO's book I want it to be a little more cheesy with captions and embellishments, but I'll definitely use that site when I want to make a nicer book!

I use shutterfly and usually make 3 books per year of all our family pictures.

I used Shutterfly. I know the quality isn't as great as some others, but I like their layouts and ideas pages.

I'm using Shutterfly to make a baby book, which is essentially LO's first year.

Yes, I used blurb and mypublisher because I had groupons.

I used Mypublisher and it turned out great. If you sign up, you will get tons of coupons. I did a big one for us and then two copies of a smaller one for the grandparents and they all turned out amazing. I don't recall there being a page limit, I seem to remember you had to pay for extra pages. And also keep in mind that you can fit up to 8 pictures (or more depending on size) on a page, so that is a lot of pictures in total.
I compared the other sites and used Blurb before, but the print and paper quality was just not as good as MP.

Yes and I did it on Shutterfly. I kept up with it through the year or else I never would have been able to do it all at once. We gave a copy to each of her grandparents for Christmas. And waited for the 40% off sales, which Shutterfly seems to run once a week.

I did on shutterfly and was pretty pleased with how it turned out! Hopefully I will have my act together and make one for LO2 too!

I use MyPublisher, but I'm going to look at some of the other suggestions ( I just missed a huge coupon by 1 day ) I make a book for each set of Grandparents and one for us every year for Christmas. I'm starting on a little pocket book for my Husband to take with him overseas today.

I make 365 books on shutterfly. Love that I can always get a good deal.

I've used Blurb, Shutterfly and MyPublisher.
Did not like MyPublisher
Shutterfly is pretty awesome for how cheap it is! Easy to use, and pretty good quality.
LOVE LOVE LOVED working with Blurb. It's my favorite, but so expensive The program was my favorite to use, by far. It was so easy to make my own layouts and make everything line up perfectly (which is a little more difficult to do on Shutterfly, and kind of have to just eyeball everything, which drives my perfection tendencies craaazy). The quality of the book and pictures is also awesome.
I did my wedding album on Blurb, but will likely use Shutterfly for everything else, since they're so affordable.
SIL likes to use Costco for price and quality - I've never used them before though.
