I'm planning to under advisement of my husband! hahah
I'm going with soft soothing music. I thought maybe hard core to get the endorphins going but I don't want my baby to come out angry! hahaha
I'm thinking our wedding songs, jazz, Frank Sinatra, Yo Yo Ma, etc

I haven't decided yet, I think if I do it will be a mix of upbeat, country. One playlist for mellow and one for upbeat "get this thing going" songs.

The lady at childbirth class said to use something soothing for the labor and fast and fun for delivery. But I knew I wouldn't want anything, so I didn't do it.

My sister used an instrumental album by Phil Keaggy and it was very serene.
I chose calmer music too, I had lots or worship songs - Phil Wickham, Hillsong, Phil Keaggy. It was nice.

Yes, I made one, but the ipod never made it out of the bag. I chose an eclectic mix of stuff that makes me happy. I would love to remember it the next time around.

Yes I did. It totally helped. It was Christian music and I loved that my delivery nurseS name was Faith. She sang alOng. One of the best parts of my labor.

It is on my to-do list. I am a huge music person and I really feel like it would calm me down. I plan on going all-natural (crossing my fingers) and so I think music will really help me! I just need to update my darn iPod!
I will probably put some Christian/worship music on there because I really love Jesus, and probably some acoustic and folk stuff too.

i never even thought of doing this, but i liked the idea. especially the idea of your wedding songs! mine make me so happy and nostalgic i hear them. And i could just throw in a lot of Bob Marley to chill out and try to stay calm, lol. (i got married in Jamaica, so Bob Marley is majorly associated with the feeling of my wedding).

I had a 5 hour playlist of my favorite worship on my phone & it played the WHOLE TIME... well up until my transfer to the hospital, but that was literally at the very end.
Most of the time it was just in the background, but there were quite a few times that I sang along & worshiped through & in between contractions.
Considering I had a completely unmedicated birth, having it really came in handy & I'm so glad I had it =)
