In general ways, my dad and my husband are both very responsible people. They will take care of their wife and kids. Other than that, they are pretty different.

DH is nothing like my Dad and not really anything like my Mom either. If anything my DH shares some strong personality traits with my best friend. I am NOTHING like my MIL

My sister and I both married men very similar to our dad! Her husband especially. He's identical to my dad.
