How funny about everyone's hair changes!!

I seem to have lost (?) my asthma entirely and WEIRDLY it is impossible to even get tipsy anymore. I don't get it. Haha.

@catlady: aww man, these started growing on my back. Sucks that they stay.

I've retained the sense of smell of a hound, and developed a dry scalp that drives me insane.

I developed something called "pernio" -- Every winter, I get purple spots on my feet/toes that look like frostbite. It hurts, obviously looks like I have a major problem, ha. Apparently it's common after pregnancy for women who have a previous circulation issue. Lucky me.

Oh, and PP body odor ... I've had to resort to crystal deodorant. It's literally the only thing that works.

@Mrs. High Heels: Ditto on all of this!! My motion sickness is so much worse! And PMS & periods are a lot worse. Ughhh.

@mrsrain: snap! Before becoming pregnant with my big girl I had a "sensitivity" to dairy (nothing diagnosed but anything too fatty and creamy / milky would really upset my stomach) and it pretty much disappeared once I came off the Pill and fell pregnant.

My friend who had a diagnosed lactose intolerance was told by her obstetrician / gynaecologist that lactose intolerance is really common in women on the Pill!

My nose got bigger and more bulbous! I didn't notice it until I looked at pictures 10 months postpartum.

My feet are a half size bigger.

I can't eat avocados without getting sick. (Before, I ate one a week with no problem.)

Hair: I have the postpartum wispies around the crown of my forehead 10 months postpartum (now bangs).

Mine is not really odd.... I guess "normal" unwanted changes. Other than leaking pee while sneezing (which is super annoying), Muffin top has grown on my body, and the mid section became uncontrollable. The "breastfeeding will help you get back in shape" is all lies yo. It did get me back in shape, if not better than before, when I was breastfeeding. After that, it just got 2x worse than before. Now I had to work out 30 minutes a day and watch what I eat. I haven't had soda or anything special to drink other than green tea and water for a long time, and have been trying to cut carbs and watch my calories, only to get back into the shape I was in before I had a baby. I have never ever had to do that ever in my life, and I have never worked out before. Well. But these could also have been a result in aging. So I don't know

@ElbieKay: I have this too! I've been doing physio but it seems to relapse every once in a while to where I was immediately after birth. Interesting to hear a personal trainer helped.

@catlady: Yup, skin tags that never went away. And I got more during my 2nd pregnant - yay.

My hair lost it's curl a bit during pregnancy, and was even worse postpartum for about 18 months. It was finally getting a nice curl back and I got knocked up again. Same thing.

Oh another weird one, I have really long lashes, that I never curl because they curl up on their own, and for a year postpartum each time, they were shorter, less full, and curled up less. Then they came back to normal!

I now have dry skin and I've never had issues with that before. I'm generally an anxious person and had PPA that I was able to step off medication for 6 months PP, but I'd say my sensitivity to anxiety in general is worse after having my son. I became really vegetable averse when I was pregnant with my son and while I ate some after he was born, I have to admit I haven't really LOVED them like I did before (and this is from someone who spent years eating a predominantly veggie diet). I also like beer more than I did before having DS and started drinking less wine, which was my preferred beverage.

Motion sickness is awful even when sitting in the front seat. And I never ever had heartburn before I got pregnant. Now LO is almost two and it still bothers me at times.

I can't get over how many of you have bad motion sickness after having kids - I'm so sorry!

And the changes in the hair are cracking me up LOL

My feet are a half size bigger, they're both wider and longer.

My skin is dry. I've always had sensitive skin, but my face used to be acne prone and oily. Now it's dry and acne prone.

My allergies went away almost entirely while I was pregnant, and are still much more manageable than they used to be.

I used to be very temperature sensitive--cold most of the time, miserably hot when it got hot. During pregnancy, I ran cooler than usual. Now, I run warmer.

Eczema... Never had it before pregnancy! And just dry skin overall!

I found a new one today: I get motion sick just from swinging. I tried to swing with LO at the park this afternoon, and I had to get off. It was awful.

@jhd: if I'm not driving, I get so sick. It's gross.

I've had some welcome and unwelcome changes after having two boys. I'm currently 11 weeks pp with DS2.

Welcome changes: clearer skin, less anxiety, fewer illnesses, more regular periods
Unwelcome changes: neck puffiness (the worst!), less curly hair, more sensitive to hot weather, red wine now gives me a headache

My feet got bigger and I have lots of varicose veins and spider veins on my legs. Not attractive! I don't wear shorts much but if I do people always asked how I got those bruises 😕

Don't need seasonal allergy meds anymore though!

I can't stomach the smell of melting plastic anymore. That sounds very specific but I work in a factory where they mold plastic so I have to be mindful of what parts I walk through.

Also, vertigo on places that are open to a floor below (i.e., balconies).

@LovelyPlum: I swear I have even felt sick on a long trip and I was the one driving! And I can't swing either. I never understood as a kid when my mom said she couldn't swing with me, but now I do!
