What kind of pictures will you take or did you take for your LO's 1 year?

I'm not sure what kind, but we will for sure be doing them!

We will definitely do some sort of pics, maybe even a family shoot to use for Christmas cards.

I'd love to do them with the photog that did LO's newborn photos!

I want to do a smash cake! DD would get a kick out of It I think.

Yup a smash cake and then a bubble bath in a basin outside afterwards. Probably family pics too. I'm a photographer so I diy them myself. I can't wait to do them.

We did them and loved them. They posed her with this large number one but I didn like any of those poses. I loved our cake smash photos.

We'll do family photos as well as just pics of LO. She was born in late nov so we'll do family pics every year around her birthday for our Christmas card.

We are dong 1 year pictures. We will do family pictures, pics of just LO and cake smash pics.

We did a portrait session because a friend of ours offered (we referred her to someone who ended up hiring her for their wedding so she gave us a free session). We did one dress-up outfit and the traditional Korean outfit for the 1 year birthday. And it was so hot we ended up doing a few shots in just his diaper, which ended up being my favorite shots of the day

I had a Groupon to a chain studio that I needed to use up right around DS's birthday. They asked if I was doing a "one year photo shoot" when I called and I was like, I guess?
I'm glad they suggested it though, I love the photos! -
We will definitely do them! We didn't do newborn photos and I'm really regretting that now. I love first birthday photos with the little smash cake, can't wait to do them!

Planning on it in. I really want to do 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. We will have to see if we can afford it. DH sister does photography on the side but I am not a fan of her pictures, so I hope we don't have to go that route.

We'd like to do 1-year pics but they will probably happen closer to 14-15 months when the weather is nicer and we can do them outside. For 1-year pics we'd like to do a cake smash photoshoot!

We did family portraits with a photographer friend of mine, she snapped a few of him solo too. My brother and I both shot him smashing his cupcake, so I got plenty of both for cheap right around his first birthday.

We're planning family shots a little before P's first birthday along with a cake smash session. The photographer is a friend of ours and did our wedding as well so he's always open to add us for uber cheap.

@regberadaisy: if you have a Picture People, Portrait Simple, etc. nearby they offer Groupon and Living Social deals all the time. I got our shoot & photos for $16.

We will. We'll probably have some family one's, some by himself, and a cake smash.

We didn't have the money to do it, but luckily my sister got married when LO was 11 1/2 months and LO was flower girl so she got a lot of cute pro photos taken there. And it happened to be the same photographer who did LO's newborn photos so she knew her well and followed her around a lot.

We are going camping at the coast the same month as their bday, so I'd love to get some good photos of the kids and the whole family then.
Ideally we'd splurge on some pro photos, but I have to research to see if there's anyone I love locally that's not crazy expensive.
