@MrsTiz: ha! Nice. Are you still getting a Xmas gift then??? hehe

I’m not sure if they usually do, to be honest – I’ve only been here 2 months. But, I did just receive 2 awards for a project I’m spearheading: 1 extra day of PTO and also got points to redeem at the internal store. I thought that would mean like a travel mug or something but boy was I wrong! In the “beauty” section, I have enough points already for a Clairsonic Aria or Mia (the whole system), Dr. Perricone, MD cold plasma, anti-aging and skincare stuff (which are $$$$$$$$$!), a new Chi flat iron or other nice things. I was/am floored!!!!!!!

Yep - we get a percentage of our salary depending on the number of years you've been there. And my bosses all give me Christmas "gifts" - various amounts of money. Every little bit helps this time of the year, usually I end up spending the gifts from my bosses on gifts for other people.

Nope. I got 1% last year but this year we have a new ED and some financial problems. No Christmas party either!
I don't think DH will get one either. They give bonuses based on how much money they've brought into the firm and his big case hasn't wrapped up yet. Plus they are having financial problems too.
I did get a 5% raise though! I think because I'm the only staff member not planning on quitting, haha.

I get my annual bonus in April, so no. My husband had been getting a Christmas bonus up until 2 or 3 years ago...then they just stopped

@locavore_mama: wow what a great surprise! Congrats!
We get raises in November (if enrollment numbers are good) so everyone got a $xxx raise.

Yes - I was so surprised! I worked here for about 9 months - I definitely didn't expect it because I never got one at my old job that I was with for 6 years.

my company gives their "year end bonuses" in like march, when they've figured out if they made money or not.

@locavore_mama: That's awesome!
We don't... but DH does. I'm always jealous! The only job I ever got one was my first real job out of college at a real estate company and I was shocked and delighted!

I got a $50 gift card from our PTA and a sausage, cheese, and mustard gift box from the executive director. Haha.

We don't get them, but being in sales we have a huge promotion at the end of November and cash prizes are up for grabs. This year I won $250 cash and a $200 gift card to a local store. Not too bad! But some people get none and some get almost $1,000. DH gets one in January, but can't remember how much.

I get a 3.5% Holiday bonus in November, and I use it for Christmas presents Very thankful
My husband doesn't get a bonus from his employer, but he reenlisted in the Nat'l guard for 6 years. He'll be deploying in March and they got his bonus to him last Friday, taxed heavily. If they'd have sent it after he deployed there'd be no tax, I was a little miffed about that!

Yep, but it was extremely small. We also get quarterly bonuses that are better!

Ha. No.
I used to work at a grocery store as a cashier when I was a teen and we all got $50 gift cards to the store every year for Christmas. We were all thrilled because we all ate lunch and snacks there so we basically got some free food for a while.

I got a small bonus from the firm in my Christmas card, but my boss wrote out a generous personal check the second year in a row now in his Christmas card to me. I was almost crying to DH when I called him to tell him I received it again! It's only 1% of my salary, but dang, it's a personal check!

I'm a government employee so no bomb for me. DH got his usual free ham for Christmas, plus got paid overtime for like the first time ever (he's consistently working about five hours extra a week at the moment) - I hope that continues for as long as he keeps having to work overtime!
