The only one that I was really worried about was the stroller, but luckily we do like it. Doing lots of online research and reviews about everything I think helped a lot to make things successful for us.

I think it is hard to avoid because stores stock so few of what is actually available out there. I find reviews online to be more helpful than seeing some things in person though.

stroller...it was a special order and BBB didn't have it in stock. no baby yet, but i love the stroller so much i swear i want to take it out jogging without a child in it!

Yeah, lots of stuff. I relied on a lot of recommendations from friends and from the internet. I researched everything a ton, and I'm very happy with the majority of our purchases. Some stuff I saw in person during a trip to BBB, but lots of things we purchased sight unseen.

Yup...read lots of reviews and purchased/registered for almost everything without seeing it in person - crib, monitor, high chair, pack and play, swing, etc...the only purchase that made me a little anxious was buying our stroller online

We purchased one stroller without seeing it and I regret that purchase. It didn't cost us a ton, but I feel guilty about it. Had I seen it in person, I would have skipped it because it has an awkward fold.

Almost everything except for the crib and carseat! It's cheaper, more convenient, with more selection online compared to my local stores, so that's how I primarily shop.

I did a lot of registering online before seeing it in person. I went to BRU with my dad last weekend to make sure of my choices and change some stuff around. For instance, I kept the pack and play I chose because the other ones seemed to be way too much for our needs while I changed the baby tub around.
