Yep! At the midwives, it was just as much a follow up for me as it was for the babies. They got weighed and measured, then I had my checkup.

My first I didn't and my OB was bummed she didn't get to see her.
My second I brought in and the nurses loved it but I didn't even see my actual OB, which I thought was really weird/rude since he was actually in the office and did deliver DD2.

I didn't but then I felt bad because she asked where he was! I loved her and she was moving away the following week, so I've always regretted not taking LO to see her one last time. I honestly didn't realize it was something people did.

Yes, because my DH drove me and he stayed in the waiting room with the baby. My OB went out to admire the baby at the end of the appointment.

My 6 week check was with my General Practitioner. I took my mum with me to sit with LO in the waiting room but she got too nervous and wouldn't be left alone with her. I ended up holding a fussy E, while talking to the doctor, while my mum sat in the room looking bewildered! The doctor (about 90 years old by my reckoning) was very pleased to see E though and asked for a hold!!

Mine encourages us to! Fruits of everyone's labor, heh. The NP was *happy* to hold T during my check up down there

I left DS at home and regretted it because it was a three hour wait. I left without seeing the doctor and had to reschedule.
I brought DD along because I expected the same wait. Thankfully DH was able to come so he took her outside when she got fussy. It's a pity I didn't see the doc that delivered her!

Yes, no childcare while on maternity leave and baby needed to be fed every 2 hours anyway

No, because my mom was visiting, so she stayed with him. I was too much of a mess to think about using the stroller on public transportation at that time.

With my firsts no since at the time my mil lived close by so she watched my twins.
With my daughter I brought her along and my mil watched my twin toddlers. I had a bit of a wait and ended up breast feeding her during my pelvic exam.

Yep, both times! I didn't have any other option anyway, but I would've taken them anyway. The midwives were always so excited to see my babies.

I didn't but should have. She hated the car seat so DH kept her at home with him (he was working from home) but then she was hungry so he had to deal with the crying. I did take her to my IUD placement around 10 weeks or so. She slept the whole time.

Yup! Because I didn't want to leave him home alone with my mom and I wanted to show him off to my favorite nurse at the OB office!

Nope. That was probably the first time I went out of the house by myself, haha! I figured it was about time that DH practice bottle feeding DD.

yes, everyone in the office wanted to meet him! but DH came too, so after the doc saw him, the 2 of them left.
