I always thought my parents were so old when I was growing up because I was born when they were 28 and 29. I was 32 when I had my first baby!

I always thought of my parents as old. My mom was 27 when she had me. I'm 27 right now with a 6 month old. Now I see, she wasn't old at all!

Old, they were both 38 when I was born, not ever said, but I'm sure I was the oops 4th child since my closest sibling is 9 years older haha

Young when they had me (dad was 20, mum was 22) but then they spaced their kids out over the next 11 years. My mum was 33 when my youngest sister was born and I thought that was disgusting, ha ha. I was 32 when I had my first so I'm eating my words now!

Old!
My mom was 30 when she had me and my dad was 32. Both of them wish they had children sooner and told DH and I to start while we're young and not wait until we're close to 30.

Mine were youngsters ...24 when I was born, 21 for my brother! I
Liked it growing up, but not gonna lie -- part of me wishes they were retired now like everyone else's parents seem to be ... I'd get to see them more with LO.

Mine were young, early 20s. By the time my mom was my age, she had a 14 year old!

My parents had me at 33/34 and my sisters at 39/40. Even though they were 'older,' I never thought of them as old! They always have looked about 10 yrs younger than their age, so that probably helps lol. I think my mom is pretty shocked I got pregnant at 25 though!

Super young! I think mom was 23 and dad was 22 when they had me...maybe a year older when I was actually born...I can never remember. Anyway, it was/still is SO much fun that they're "younger," and we definitely wanted to be "young" parents, too!

I thought my dad was old! He was 35 when I was born, so by the time I was 5 and had any awareness of age and how big numbers were, he was 40! Which I knew was much older than my friends' parents. It makes me sad to think DH will be that old or possibly older...

My parents were young, 20 & 24, when I was born. It's kind of weird that to G I"ll be a young parent, but to P and our others I kinda won't be! DH won't be old for any of our kids!

I don't really remember thinking either. They were 32 and 33 when I was born, I think. I just thought they were normal ages.

Old because other kids' parents always seemed a couple years younger than mine. My parents were both 30 when they had me.

My mom was 25 and dad was 33. They seemed young I think. And now that I'm 25 and my mom is 50 she seems really young!

my parents were very young when they were married--21 and 22--but then they waited 10 years to have kids, and were 34 and 36 when I was born, so I always thought they were older parents. now they don't seem old though, dh's dad is 8 years older than my dad and he seems much older!

Older, but I'm about on the same time line as them so I guess my kids will think I'm old too. Ha!

I thought they were young! My mom turned 20 a couple weeks before I was born. By the time she was my age she had all three of her kids.

Old! My mom was 32 and my dad was 35 when I was born. But they had my sisters at 22/25 and 24/27.
I don't think that's super old anymore, but definitely too old for me. I'll be done having kids by 25 though.

I thought my parents were pretty young! They were 24 and 26 when I was born.

My parents were 32 when I was born. People in my family tend to have children later (even my grandparents) so while I didn't think they were necessarily old, they were just older in comparison to my friends parents. I'll be 32 when these twins come & DH will be 40. So, we'll also be *old* parents.

My mom was 24 and my dad 25 when they had me. I always thought of them as average until I was in middle or high school when I realized they were a little on the younger side for the community we lived in at the time.

I thought my mom was old. She had me when she was 27, my brother when she was 25. Not old at all!!

definitely young. I remember my dad's 30th birthday party... I think i was 6. My mom is a year younger than him. I am pretty sure they were 23/24 when I was born.

I thought they were so old at the time, but they really were teenagers when they had me! I'm more tha twice the age my mom was when she had me.

When I was born, my mom was 28 and my dad was 30. I always thought they were old when I was growing up--I must have had friends with younger parents.

They seemed average. They were 29 and 28 when they had me.
DH and I were 33 and 22 respectively when LO was born

When I was born my mom was 29 and dad was 30. I thought they were oldish too! I had my first LO at 28, but i'm playing catch up by having the second at just over 30 dh was only 26 when LO was born, so he'll always be a youngish dad! yay

Old! My mom was 34 and my dad was 37 when they had me. All of my friends parents were about 10 years younger.

I knew they were younger than a lot of my friends parents, but still old to me! They were 21 and 22 when I was born, so they were pretty young It's crazy to think that I have clear memories of my parents at the age I am now.
nectarine / 2220 posts
My parents were 21 and 23 when they had me, but I still thought they were SOOO old up until probably highschool. Now I realize how young they were since we're 29 and 33 with our first.
Other people keep asking me if my mom's going to baby sit while I work, and I'm always like... well, she's only 50, so she still has her own job, and people are surprised. DH's parents are in their mid 60's and they seem so much older than mine. That 7-10 years difference is really obvious at that age it seems.
