I view almost EVERYTHING as an investment. My husband and I are strong believers in buying quality, not quantity. We try to do our research and buy the best in the beginning, but only items we TRULY need. It's worked for us so far - and it's nice to have so few belongings.

Don't have one at all There just was so many other things that were NEEDS first.

Investment! The glider/ottoman I wanted is usually around $170+ but I found it cheaper on sale at Amazon for $129. Score!

Investment...but we were lucky my Dad got it for us as a gift. Every night time feeding is done in that upholstered glider so it needed to be super comfy. And, one we're done having babies we'll be able to continue to use it since it doesn't really look like a nursery chair.

Not an investment. We already have a la-z-boy that is in our loft/soon to be playroom. I wanted a chair that I could pump and feed in and then sell on Craigslist when I'm done with it.

We had an Ikea Poang in our family room and we use that as our glider. It's not ideal but we hardly use it, I mainly feed LO on our coach.

An investment - we got our money's worth but looking back - we could have gone with a cheaper one. I was just in a baby store this weekend and saw a cheaper one that I like more than ours but this is just in hindsight.

Just staying tuned - I have an heirloom rocker, but it's not comfy in the least. It feels odd to get a new rocker, when this one has served 4 generations.

We definitely want one that looks like a regular chair and is super comfy (I will probably fall asleep in it, lol!). We are also thinking about getting 2, one for upstairs, and one for downstairs. Has anyone done/considered that?

I may just steal one of my mom's rockers, though. She has three!

I thought about it getting one and decided not to. There were other things that I needed more than a glider. It's definitely a nice to have. But not a necessity for me at this point.

We were given a rocking chair by some friends that I intend to use either in the nursery or living room but I still plan to buy this rocker as my sister has one and I love it!

Ugh. This was my one baby purchase regret for sure. Not because of the chair itself-- I LOVE our glider and we'll use it forever (it looks almost exactly like yours! in beige microfiber.) but we spent way too much on it, custom ordering it from a baby furniture store. We still use it every day and will continue after #2 is born, and we plan on moving it to the living room or our bedroom for a reading nook when our kids are older, but we still spent too much on it. We could have gotten something similar for way less if we ordered or purchased from somewhere else. It was one of our first purchases and took like 5 months to arrive..!! Investment! I used it all through the colic nights and now to wind LO down before placing him in the crib. We're fortunate to be able to use MIL's rocking chair and an Aunty reupholstering the cushions for us. The rocking chair is just the perfect size for baby's room!

@LivsMama: I'm considering the wingback rocker from PBK. I like it but am curious to hear from someone who actually bought it - there aren't any reviews on PBK.com! Do you love it? Is it as comfortable at home as it is in the store? Are you pleased with the quality compared to price?
