DH really wants us to name our b/g twins. I want to wait and apparently MIL agrees with me!
ETA: MIL and I think that the name we pick out might not fit the baby when they arrive. MIL said DH was going to be named one name but decided on a different name when he was born.

We were team green so had to wait anyway, but yes. We had one girl name we loved and a couple of boy names, but we wanted to meet the baby and make sure the name seemed to fit. She is a she, so we really only had the one name but we waited an hour or so before announcing it to make sure it was right.

Nope, his name came to me before I knew whether we were having a boy or a girl - and we didn't have a girl name at all. When we found out he was a boy, it just felt like I already knew him and his name. We didn't really tell many people, but I knew that that would be his name when we met face to face.

We were team green but had two names picked out for each, we wanted to meet the baby before making a final decision. It took about 8 hours to feel sure..

Each time we had a name in mind but hadn't shared it with anyone. The second time DH got cold feet and we waited about 24 hours to decide. We did end up using the original name both times.

We definitely will not be waiting, but all of our girls names have tons of nickname possibilities (Juliana: Jules, Julia, Julie, Li, Lia, Ana, Liana) and their middle names are great too, so we could use those more often if need be, or reverse the order.
Our boys names? Not so much.... we like one-syllable boys names

we were pretty sure about a month beforehand, but we never referred to the baby as R or anything. i wanted to have the option to meet her and make sure! after she was born, i looked at DH and said, it's R, right?

Yes. First time we were 90/10, so it was more confirming our choice. This time, LO probably only got named (after about an hour) when we decided it wasn't fair for him not to have a name when big brother met him. And even then, we totally let our nurse vote.

Yup, both times! We went to the hospital with a short list (3 the first time, 2 the second) and decided after they were born. I just knew I'd feel differently once they were born. The names I liked before I got pregnant just didn't feel right anymore once I saw the first ultrasound, so I knew meeting the baby would change my mind too!

Both times we named before and had the name up on the nursery wall so there was no backing down. But BOTH girls fit their names, our second choices wouldn't have worked.

We had a name picked about a month before due date, but i reserved the right to veto in the delivery room if it didnt "fit"

We named him pretty much right after we found out he was a boy. Having a name really helped with bonding for me and there was never any doubt when he was born.

We knew the name beforehand with LO1, it was a name DH wanted for years and is a family name. With this LO, we are waiting until he is born- mainly due to having a few name choices we are not 100% sure of, waiting to see what he looks like, and just bc I don't feel like making a decision.

We knew both names in the third trimester. But we left the door to changing it if it didn't fit upon baby's arrival. It fit for ds1, I hope it does this time too!

Yep. We knew (and shared) the middle name, but didn't even share our options for first names. We had two to choose from--there was a definite front runner, and that ended up being her name. It didn't take us long to decide once she was born.

We did the "have something in mind but wait to be sure" thing. We knew what she would probably be, but called her by a nickname until she got here so we could be sure. Though really we only saw her for a minute or two and just went with the original plan, so we didn't base it much on whether it fit her.
