So tomorrow is Mother's Day for most of Latin American countries, and have always celebrated the 10th for my mom...This is technically, as baby is still in my belly, my first mothers day...I wonder if DH will do anything for me...he did say something in passing the other day but then went quiet and didnt mention anything....
if you were/ are pregnant did you celebrate Mothers Day???

I don't know if DH will do anything - I'd love if he thought if a card from the baby, but I'm not holding out too much hope lol

I got some flowers, and that was more than enough for me! Even now that my baby is here I don't necessarily feel like I deserve a big mothers day celebration.

Dd was 6 weeks old on my first Mother's Day! Not sure if I would have celebrated if I was pregnant, but hope your husbands do something for you!

With my first pregnancy we didn't know I was pregnant yet. This year I'm not sure what we'll do. We usually go out for a big brunch buffet w/DH's family, but I'm in no mood for buffet (6w1d and nauseous), and DH doesnt want to tell them yet. I would settle for a card and a big jar of half sour pickles!

I got flowers and a card that had "soon to be" added in where it talked about "Mother of my child(ren)". =)

I wasn't pregnant during mother's day, but i think i'd feel a little weird celebrating it. That's just me though.
Don't be too disappointed if DH doesn't do anything...it'll be so much better once LO comes!

The year we were adopting my mother got me a card. She said if I had been pregnant it would be no different and that I was on the path to motherhood and should be celebrated. The next year I had my son and I was pregnant with twins so we celebrated then too.

We didn't celebrate it when I was pregnant last year. This will be my first official Mother's Day. We're ring shopping for my baby birthstone band, but I asked DH to have a small gesture on Mother's Day, so it doesn't look forgotten or half assed.

DH already asked what I wanted for mother's day so I know he intends to do something, but I actually said I'd kill for a pregnancy massage, so I'm hoping that's what I get. In our family we always celebrate pregnant moms (even first timers). As long as you believe it's a baby in there, aren't you already its mother?

I'd just like an acknowledgement. I told DH that a card (he writes me really sweet notes sometimes) would be sufficient.

@char54: this is where I'm at. My DH actually made a comment about it 'not counting' bc the baby's not here. Uhh, I'm the one carrying this child and making sacrifices for it already he can do something...that said I won't be disappointed if he doesn't.

Yes. Dh got me a gift, and we went to brunch. They were giving all moms flowers at brunch and gave me one too

Last year I was pregnant and DH got me a card We went out to lunch with my family and my mom got me a card and some lotion and a gift certificate for a pedi!

Last year I was pregnant, and DH got me a card from the LO and we went to dinner together that night after we did the obligatory moms' stuff earlier that day.

I was pregnant over Mother's Day two years ago. My husband bought me a new (temporary) wedding band, flowers and a card. My mom got me a card and some maternity clothes. I thought it was thoughtful!
