My last day of work was 38w2d and he wasn't born until 41w5d. I feel pretty grumpy about having spent so much of my leave without baby, but, I keep reminding myself that I was absolutely miserable at work from about 34w on. One of my midwives had strongly encouraged me to stop work at 35w, but, I couldn't see spending that much leave. Given how late he came, I'm glad I held out for a few more weeks.

I was due Sept 26th and I stopped work on August 1st. I wanted lots of time for myself and to prepare for the baby. I'm so glad I did because I ended up being induced 3 weeks early, so because I took so much time I still had a whole month to myself.
BUT, my job didn't have standard maternity leave (it would have been entirely unpaid since I was a contract worker) so I basically quit and gave them 2 months notice.

Past it actually. I was due Wednesday, worked all through the week and decided my last day would be Friday. I went into labor Friday night. In retrospect, I was definitely in early labor at work on Friday.
