My middle had the worst cradle cap. Whole hunks would peel off like nickel sized areas taking hair with it. It was disgusting. Coconut oil wouldn't touch it.

I bought the Mustela cradle cap lotion and shampoo and it was gone the next day.

I think if I had stuck it out with the "natural" solution she would have lost a lot more hair.

No, mine had tons of hair which did not come out. We used Mustela with a special brush and it worked extremely quickly.

@Foodnerd81: I think it was $18 and I used it once, but that was enough to get rid of it. I had spent three weeks trying coconut oil, then olive oil, baby oil, dandruff shampoo. It was so so worth it. I almost hope #3 gets cradle cap so I can use that miracle stuff again.

DD1 had ridiculous cradle cap, along with an insane amount of hair, and when we tried to get rid of the cradle cap, hair usually came off with it, although since she had so much hair, it didn't really matter...

I actually just realised the other day that DD1 still has a lot of cradle cap at 3.5 yrs old! We eventually gave up on it as she had so much thick hair, it was a nightmare trying to get rid of it all, and we thought it would just go away on its own......apparently not. Hmm. The good thing is you can't see it unless you're digging through her hair looking for it, but still, we should probably get on that.....

We used the mustela newborn foaming shampoo. It was amaaaazing at getting off cradle cap. And he had a moderate amount of hair and none of it came out because of it.

@Foodnerd81: Sorry for the late response, but yes, it was that one! It was crazy, we only had to use it maybe 3 times over the course of a week, and her cradle cap was completely gone and never came back (we did continue to use the mustela foam shampoo like every other wash for some time).
