V's hair is FINALLY growing in...in curls! I have curly hair, so I would love it if she did, too. Did your LO's hair stay curly as they got older?

Both of my kids had very curly hair as toddlers. One (6 yo) now has wavy hair that tends toward straight (I think if she washed and styled every day we could get it to be wavier). Her curls started falling out around 4. The other (3 yo) still has very curly hair - it is much curlier than her sister's was at this age.

My 6 year-old had long curly ringlets. Now that he wears his hair shorter, it's definitely less curly. Mildly wavy more like it.
Your baby's hair is so adorable by the way!

DS is almost 4 and his tight curls are falling out. I’m hoping that when the humidity returns they will come back. Probably not going to happen though

My youngest had curls until about 1.5, but neither DH or I have curly hair so I’m not surprised they went away. Hopefully genetics are on your side though and she can keep her curls

My daughter still has great curls at 4.75 years old, it’s soooo long so it isn’t as curly anymore (although still really curly), but I think will spring back when we get a cut.

@crazydoglady: when C’s hair finally started growing it came in little curls like that. She’s 6 now and has gorgeous curls! They loosen up in cool dry weather, especially when it’s been a few days since we washed it, but freshly washed and in the summer it’s beautiful ringlets. It’s almost halfway down her back now (longer when wet and straight). I LOVE her curls. I have straight hair but my sister has curls. Dh’s Hair is sort of wavy but too short to really know.

My girls both have curls still at roughly 3.5 years. I myself have wavy hair that holds a curl really well - my hunch is that theirs will turn out the same as the hair grows out more and weighs down the curl. I love curls!!

@mrsbookworm: Those CURLS . Do you have to do a lot of maintenance with her hair?

DD is 2 1-/2 and has the cutest curls! Her hair didn't really come in till probably 1-1/2.
I hope they stay!

I have curly hair and so far it looks like DS2 has my hair! It's pretty curly when it is on the longer side. But we keep it fairly short so you can't really see the curls. The front does get wavy. We've cut his hair 3 times now and the curls have come back each time.
