DH's friends took him out for dinner, drinks and a strip club. My brother couldn't make it and my dad wasn't invited.
DH's friend is getting married soon and his fiancée is sending her brothers, cousins, stepdad and dad to the bachelor party.

My brothers attended part of it (the dinner). They were underage so they didn't go out with the rest of the guys.

Dh and I had a joint party and my brother and dh's siblings came.

Dh didn't have a bachelor party. I doubt my dad would have attended if he did have one.

Nope. My brother wasn't even in the wedding party. DH and his friends and his brother went away for the weekend and did the usual bachelor party stuff. I think my brother would have had a terrible time and been bored, since he doesn't know any of DH's friends. It would have been SO awkward if my dad was there!

My brother went, but it wasn't a wild and crazy party. They just went to dinner and bar hopping. We agreed on no strip clubs. Well I said yes to strip clubs but no naked girl giving him a lap dance, that grosses me out. So he said he'd rather just not go because he knew his friends would insist on buying him a lap dance.

Nope! DH went to NY for a baseball game/fancy dinner/strip club night and about 9 of his friends went with him. He never even thought to invite my dad or brothers.

@autumnlove: That's a lot of family to have at a bachelor party!!
Wouldn't be surprised if they end up having a separate bachelor party with just his friends...

My brother lives out of province so he couldn't go. No dads were invited.
For my BILS his wife made his friends invite her dad and my FIL and all the guys were pissed! Haha

My brothers went to DH's bachelor party, but not my dad. My brothers are significantly wilder than hubs though, they were also in the wedding and are pretty good friends with him.

No, my dad is not in the bar hopping scene. As for my brother, he was a groomsmen. I think he didn't live close by so he wasn't invited. I wish the DH would have at least asked of he wanted to come.

Haha NO WAY! Neither father nor my brother or BIL's were invited. It was his day to spend with his friends. He's not buds with his Dad or brothers-in-law.

We lived in different states up to the wedding day, so it wasn't an option. I think my Dad would have gone if he had been around at the time though

yup. my brothers help throw it. my dad, his dad, uncles were all there. but he didn't have strippers. they went to a strip club afterwards, but the dads all went home haha

We didn't do bachelor/bachelorette stuff, we just went out to a brewery after the rehearsal. My dad and brother don't drink, so they didn't go.

My dad wanted to host one for my husband, lol, but my husband wasn't having it.

Sort of:
DH's brother and him along with a couple of others went to a baseball game three days before the wedding (my dad did not attend because he wasn't in town yet).
DH, one groomsman and my dad went trap shooting the day before our wedding. Later yet that night, DH was taken to a strip club by two highschool friends who arrived very late at night (my dad didn't attend).

No....but my brothers are too young anyways. They didn't do anything too bad (from the story I heard).

No, my dad wasn't invited but 1) Him and DH had a difficult (read non-existent) relationship from the get-go and 2) My dad was very sick with cancer at the time.
DH's mum came to my hen party though....

@autumnlove: my dad did but not my brothers. But the main event was an offshore fishing trip.

Nope even though my brother was a groomsman. He was out of town that weekend, and he wasn't over 21 yet any way. My dad wasn't invited, but he wouldn't want to go.

my brother went, my dad wasn't invited. it was a camping trip, so pretty tame.

Oh man! SO's bachelor party is in 3 months and my dad will NOT be invited, nor would he go if he were. SO's dad won't be invited either. He and his friends are just doing a camping/bonfire weekend though so I don't think it'll be anything too crazy...
SO was a groomsman in a wedding in the fall where they went to Montreal for the bachelor party and the groom's dad and uncle were invited. SO said those 2 got the most wild out of anyone and said they were the only ones who paid for lap dances at the strip club. Haha. I could never imagine either my dad or SO's dad doing that...

DH's party was in vegas and my dad, his dad, and my brothers all went. Granted, it wasn't the crazy strip club/Hangover style weekend but they all had a great time
pomegranate / 3105 posts
my cousins, uncles and dad went to DH's crazy weekend bachelor party in Vegas (along with 3 other grooms). They had a great time - partly because it was the first trip my dad and his brothers had together in like..40 years? They totally would have gone to the strip club if DH went but he drank too much and slept through when his friends left to go

My brother stood up in the wedding, but he was only 20, so he didn't go to the official one in New Orleans. They had a BBQ with all the groomsmen, uncles, cousins etc so that my brother could be a part of it.

No. My SIL attended my bachelorette party, which I didn't think would be weird, but it was. She acted very uncomfortable a large part of the weekend and took frequent "naps." She then told MIL that my friends were very crazy and she didn't want to hear about their sexcapades. Thanks. It was also one of the tamest bachelorette parties ever; we didn't even go out!

My brothers and Dan are friends & they were in the wedding party, so they went. We don't do strip clubs though, so it was just laser tag & dinner.

Yep my dad went I don't have any brothers! DH didn't have a stripper, my dad was probably disappointed! Lol
