haha nope! Totally not an emotional man at all. He did kiss me though! Which has happened maybe once in my entire life... at my wedding lol

Nope! Maybe because I was already married? My dad and I talked the entire way down the aisle.. It was a looooooong walk too

Yes, he's a big cryer. He cried before I got married, as I was getting married, after I got married.

OMG, he was soooooo emotional! I was the first daughter to get married, and he said all day how he couldn't believe his baby was getting married! My mom kept shouting at him, "She's 30! You should be glad someone is still willing to take her!!!" Lol:) My dysfunctional family:)
This about sums it up....I am standing with DH looking like I just hit the lottery, and Daddy is walking back to his chair bawling his face off:

Don't even ask about the Father-Daughter dance! He cried like a baby and made me cry like a baby, and everyone at our wedding was sobbing!

No, he didn't cry. My FIL and MIL both did, though, pretty much all the way through the ceremony.

I don't think so, but he was very unusually quiet and seemed to be focused on holding it together.

@jholler25: OMG that picture is soooo sweet and funny. HAHAHA do you watch "Arrested Development?" He reminds me of George Michael doing this walk:
My dad was not emotional at all... probably because my parents got divorced when I was 3 and I only saw him during the summers.

@jholler25: Aw I love that pic! So sweet!
I'm sure my dad would have at least teared up. Unfortunately he passed away 3 years before we got married.

My dad BAWWLEED. He's a huge tough-guy, never has anything nice to say but when he walked in and saw me all dressed up, he lost.it. I'll upload pics later!

he got tearing walking my down at the rehearsal, and on our wedding day i think we was a little teary when he & i danced.

Yup. Especially during our dance. I didn't cry. Crap, I was the only one not crying at our ceremony. My husband was crying, Dad and Mom were crying, even our officiant got choked up. I was up there trying to get everyone to stop crying already!!
ETA: When (if) our daughter gets married someday, my husband is going to bawl his face off all day long.

Oh yeah, he cried for sure when he saw me in my dress the first time.

My dad cried before we got to the aisle, during our procession, during the ceremony, and then had to cut his speech short because he was so emotional. He's a big sap and I love him!
@jholler25: What a great photo!
@HabesBabe: perfect clip! I love me some George Michael!

Haha no. He stepped on my gown going down the aisle and I told him to "stop stepping on my f*&king dress." Oops.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
nope, he was all smiles! i think he MAY have gotten teary eyed walking me down, but he was all smiles during the f/d dance
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Nope. My entire family, extended family included, aren't really a touchy family. We don't hug nor kiss each other so when our officiant told my dad to kiss me on the cheek prior to handing me off to my hubby at rehearsal, it was super awkward. Everyone could tell! He was all super big smiles all day though. It was a great opportunity for his long distance friends and family friends to get together so it was great for him to reconnect with everybody.
Weird thing is, when I see my friend's/cousin's little ones, I'm all about kisses and hugs!

haha, no way. My parents are NOT emotional people AT ALL. No crying at my wedding and no crying when we told them I was pregnant! Hubs family on the other hand might've teared up a bit. They're such cry-babies. But it's sweet.

@Alivoo01: i was soooo relieved there was so expectation of my dad kissing me on the cheek! i was worried about that. we hugged when he dropped me off at college for the first time, after we took my grandpa off a ventilator, and that's it, i can't think of a time where he kissed me or i kissed him. my veil stayed down over my face until DH lifted it to kiss me, as per his request.

I think he teared up a little bit, but he didn't want me to see him actually cry. I'm glad he didn't though, or I would have been a blubbering mess!
