I don't have an answer but my parents and DH are all convinced my cats will try and suffocate any babies. They have tried to suffocate DH a couple of times so I will probably just shut the door at all times.

At first my dog avoided us at all cost. My LO was starving because my milk didn't come in, so she would scream and scream and scream, and he didn't like that. Then she had reflux so she would scream and scream and scream, and he still didn't like her. It was bad.
Eventually he started to like her though, he realized her drool tasted yummy and she quieted down some. Now she's 14 months old and he love love loves to lick her, but she does have an issue where she likes to crawl on him poke at him. Poor dog, he's great with her and just walks away when he's annoyed. But he stopped eating his breakfast, and I do blame her

She seemed to get into more trouble during the first couple weeks LO was home. She would get into the trash, or be super hyper, or just do things she knew she shouldn't do in general. But I think a lot of it was anxiety with the changes, and she eventually settled down. She doesn't get as much attention from me as she used to, but she's adjusted and loves LO just as much as she loves us.

My dog was a little pouty but he adapted quickly and they snuggled on the second day back from the hospital.
He left the room anytime LO cried for the first week or so!
