dada. I was gone all day so DS was with DH. He as was saying "dadada" after that. I kept telling DH he taught him that while I was gone on purpose. He swears he didn't and DS just did it on his own. A few days later he started saying "mama".

C has been saying mama for months- since maybe six months or so? I think she is starting to mean me but I'm not sure, but the sound has been there a while- especially when she is upset. Still no clear dada.

M has been saying mama for a long time--at least 3-4 months. Dada came a little later (maybe a month after mama?). I kinda think she's starting to realize I am mama and DH is dada, but I'm not counting them as words yet because I'm not positive.

Dada. He didn't say mama until he was like 18 months
DD(9 months) hasn't said either yet. I think my kids are just too interested in climbing stairs(god help me) than talking haha

His first was doggie.. It was more like daaahga but he made that sound consistently when his dog was around. He started saying dada soon after. His EI said dada/doggie are much more common first words than mama. He's 13m now and only say mama when he's really upset. He started saying doggie around 8.5 months.

Dada! He says both equally now, though his whines are always for mama!

He's been babbling "dadadadada" for over a month now and he's 8 months!

R says dada but I don't think she knows dada is DH quite yet. She hasn't really said mama yet.

Hmmmm at 9m she babbles both dada and mama but I think mama was first. I can't wait for her to use them in context. DH is on a parental leave right now with her so it'll likely be dada first.

My son said papa first. I can't remember what age, maybe around 15 months?
