He cried when I tried to put his pants on this morning, but just for a couple of seconds...thank goodness! (DS is 16 months) Sometimes he views putting on clothes as absolute torture

Yesterday was full on crying all morning. This morning he has only whines about watching jake pirate.

@pinkcupcake: Same here. DS always whines/fusses/cries when he wakes up unless I'm laying next to him and it's bright so he can see my face.

Nope! He woke up in the best mood! Made me sad to leave for work

Yep, she wanted to bring her bathroom stool to daycare this morning and I wouldn't let her.

He was kind of a disaster this morning. He is fighting a cold, and his cough was particularly bad this morning. I think he's just not feeling that great.
I read that we can blame the polar vortex on kids' crappy moods/behavior.

Oh yes. She was mad that I had to clean the dried boogers out of her nose so she could breath. Then she had a dramatic melt down when I left for work. Which ended the moment her father offered her food. My kid loves food.

If she did, I didn't notice because I left for work early while DH took her in for me.

Oh sure. She cried because she broke a bowl and I wouldn't let her crawl through the shards as I swept up the pieces. She cried because I wouldn't let her play in the toilet. She cried because she'd chucked her pacifiers out of the crib at nap time. Rough morning for the poor kid

Yep!! She got pissed cause I wouldn't pick her up when I was in the kitchen making her breakfast. She wanted her banana.

@MamaMoose: That sounds like most mornings for me. LO loves food. It seems to keep the tantrums at bay in the morning.
This morning, he only fussed a bit before going on the changing table. His independent streak is showing a lot these days when I try to get his coat, scarf, and hat on. He both wants to and doesn't want to wear his scarf. I think the order I do the coat, scarf, hat has to change.

He fussed when he saw me making his bottle and I wasn't moving fast enough!

ugh yes. We have a different tantrum every morning! This morning she wanted to carry the whole box of saltines out to the car, and I let her but then she dropped them everywhere!

Nope, she was in a good mood this morning. Only gave me trouble when I tried to put socks on and she said "No shoe shoes" (socks and shoes) and I said okay you pick some, and she picked the craziest tall polka dots ones we own. And she's rocking them over her pants becasue she did not want them underneath. 16 months old and already opinionated about clothing. She's so my daughter

No, she is usually very happy in the morning. I need to wake her up from her nap soon (which I rarely do, but need to in order to get to an appointment on time) so she may not like that!

Today they were both very happy.. I think it's because we got all the cries out last night

@autumnlove: seriously! She carries that fricken stool all over the house with her right now. I almost #reasonsmytoddleriscrying'd her over this one. She pouted when we were getting her coat and boots on, wouldn't walk out to the car. DRAMA!

Yep! She started sobbing into my neck when I had to drop her off :((( she's sooooo clingy lately!!

He was fine until daycare drop off. He will be transitioning to the 2's/preschool room at the end of next month so the director thought it would be a good idea to show us around one morning. Well now he just wants to go straight to that room instead of the nursery. Cue epic tantrum when I walked him into the nursery. At least it gives me hope that the transition will be easy?? Trying to look at the bright side....

Nope! And he went down for his first nap without a fuss. I LOVE days like this.

He cried when he woke up (poop pretty much everywhere in his PJs), whined when I was trying to make him breakfast, and totally melted down when I was driving home from dropping D off at work. I had to sing the ABC song loudly for about 10 minutes straight.

Yes we have officially entered the era of whining...old enough to want stuff, young enough that not talking yet...pick me up, put me down, feed me, don't change my diapers... ;P

Yep. DH is home sick and was eating crackers on the couch. DS got mad because I wouldn't let him take all the crackers out of the sleeve and throw them on the floor.
