My DD was born with blue eyes. At 9 weeks they are still the same color. I have blue eyes and DH has brown eyes so we aren't sure if they will stay this color or turn brown.
I'm wondering, if your LO's eyes changed color after birth, when did it happen? Also how did it happen? Was it gradual or did your LO wake up one day with different colored eyes?

My LO is 14 months. Her eyes stayed blue.... even though DH and I don't have blue eyes.

All Caucasian babies are born with blue eyes and should change (if they are going to) by the time they are about 9 months old. Apparently some children don't get their true eye color until they are toddlers though.

I have a lo that was born with the black blue eyes and they turned brown within a few weeks and then this lo was born with about the same color eyes and they gradually got lighter and are bow blue grey like her daddy!

LO was born with blue eyes and 6 mths later they are still bright blue. Neither of us have blue eyes.

@Chastenet: LO's pediatrician said that they eye color usually won't change until around 9 months, but I've heard of the eyes changing within a few weeks... so who knows.
DD still has blue eyes and she's 8 months.

M was born with really really dark brown eyes with specks of blue & green. Slowly the specks started disappearing and her eye is getting more brown now at 5 months.
I'd hoped for blue or green eyes! But oh we'll she will has amazing eyes. They're what everyone comments on first.

LO was born with the black blue color of eyes. Now they look like they're brown toward the pupil all the time. The outside of the iris though changes between a dark bluish gray or the brownish gold of the center depending on the light. I think they're trying to turn brown though. She'll be 12 week on Wednesday so they still have time to change.

They've been blue, greenish, and now they look more hazel.

This is about me.. but I had blue eyes that changed green when I turned about 15! It was so odd.

LO has light blue eyes. He is 6 months and they don't show any signs of changing yet but we shall see. DH and I both have brown eyes but we each have a parent with blue eyes. I'm really hoping they stay blue!

My daughters changed a few months after she was born. From blue to grey, just like her daddy.

My son was born with dark gray eyes. They turned brown by the time he was 6 or 7 months old, I think. I have green eyes and DH has brown.

@Chastenet: I don't really remember.. i think gradual. But we realized kind of suddenly that I know longer had blue eyes!

@adnama: my sister's eyes were the same, blue until about 15 and now they are almost sea foam green...so pretty. Mine were blue until four and are now hazel.

My LO is only 3weeks old so not sure what his will do but I have blue eyes that turn sea foam green colored when I cry! It is really weird but I really love the green color

Her eyes have always been dark brown. They were a lot darker (close to black) in the beginning though.

@boiledpnut: I thought that all caucasian babies were born with blue eyes, but my caucasian baby was born w/ brown eyes. I have very very dark brown eyes, so I wasn't really surprised by this. Her eyes have stayed brown, and if anything they have become a little darker over time.

@cyndistar3: same here. DH was sad because he has blue eyes. LOs eyes can look yellow or green but I think they will end up brown.

I have hazel eyes and DH has dark brown eyes.
C was born with dark, dark gray eyes and we're still undecided if they're going to be brown or hazel. Some days they look brown and some days they are definitely hazel. We're hoping for hazel!
