DD is 18 days and she grunts and squeals when she is falling asleep or waking up. She seriously sounds like a traveling circus with her myriad of animal noises. Grunting, neighing, squealing, etc... Anyone else's LO do this? And when did they grow out of it?

Haha! Yes! Just my middle child did. She finally stopped around 6 weeks. It was so hard to sleep through her grunting though!

Yes, she's so noisy for such a little person! I don't remember DD1 making so many grunting sounds.

Yep, it was so bad that we had to move her out of our bedroom because we weren't getting any sleep with her there!

I can't decide if I brought home a newborn human, a guinea pig, or a horse. She's only 2 weeks but I've considered moving her into her room already. She's like that 24/7 though. Awake or sleeping, doesn't matter.

Yep. She sounds like a chipmunk and sometimes a dog. It stopped around 8 weeks with #1.

Yea in the early days! She is 2 mo now and not that noisy anymore

Yes! At 2 months, we were ready to move her out of our room because no one was getting any rest.

M grunted so much that they gave him an oxygen test in the hispital. He was fine though.

We moved H out of our room after just a few nights because he's so noisy. J was never like this - he screamed and cried a lot more, but slept silent as a mouse. This grunting is out of control!

I have a grunter too. He likely just spent his last night in our room for that reason. It is especially loud from 4-7 am.

Yes. We had to move her out of our room at 3 months because I couldn't take it anymore.

Neither of my girls have been noisy sleepers. I wake and stare to make sure they're still breathing.

Oh btw, i am a really light sleeper so i use ear plugs. I can still hear her noises and her stirring but it dulls them so i can fall asleep.

Oh my gosh yes! I called her my baby dinosaur. She's 4 mo now and it's either better or I'm used to it

yes! I had to move him to his own room after the first week! No one was sleeping!!

YES. At 5 weeks old, my girl is still going strong with the grunting. Haha.

Yes, but she doesn't really so it anymore at 2 months.

Not a ton, but he passes gas like a little old man!
