I know this might sound a little crazy, but I think my two month old is talking. Not in English or Albanian (the two languages we speak to her in), but in her own baby language. From her first week I started noticing a specific cry when she was hungry that sounded like "neh".
Over time she has developed distinct names for other things, and I'm beginning to understand her "words".
I'm "ahwoo". It's clear and distinct and the same every time she calls for me. DH is "bwah". Her wubbanub monkey/pacifier is "Eggeh".
I've tested my theory, handing everything except "Eggeh", including other pacifiers, when she's asking for it. Nothing makes her happy until I give her Eggeh and then she grabs him and is satisfied.
Am I losing it, or does my baby have language?!
