Mine didn't but I wish they had. I'm definitely going to teach Charlie and olive, and will make a book of recipes for them when they go off to college!
Did your parents teach you how to cook? Did you help prepare meals?

I helped early on (I think my dad had me peeling garlic and trimming green onions and veggies when I was 5?) I started handling knives really early and was making full meals for the family by the time I was 9!
I just watched and learned that way.
Love cooking and plan on teaching my kids to cook too!

No but I really wish they had. My grandparents tried but I was a teenager by then and not really interested, although my gran taught me how to make really light cakes. I feel like there's a load of life lessons my parents skipped, such as learning how to iron and clean properly etc.... I'll have to learn soon though so I can teach my kids!

Not really. My mom taught me how to make Rice Krispie squares and scrambled eggs. I think my dad taught me how to make Kraft dinner!

No, I wish they did! DD has already done more cooking than I ever did as a child and she is only 2.5! I definitely want her to have food knowledge/appreciation and be able to cook.

Can't say that my parents actively taught...but I did spy on them enough to pick up family recipes. Messed around a lot as a kid in the kitchen...apparently that was enough!

Nope. My mom still doesn't cook, and neither do I! My grandma is an amazing cook though.
My dad is really good, but he doesn't so much "teach" as "here let me do that for you...." He also kind of wings it as he goes along, so he doesn't have a lot of recipes!

My mom did. And my grandma .... my senior year of high school I went to my grandmas weekly to cook a meal with her. I wanted to be prepared for when I was on my own in college!

Yes! I can cook or bake anything! It's one of my greatest talents! I love in bringing up bebe the section about French parents cooking with their children.

Not really, mom taught me a few things & let me help her bake. I had to pick up a lot of it on my own considering mom's cooking wasn't done unless it was burnt.
