I had a really boring common last name, so I jumped at the chance to change my name to my husband's, which is more unique. I definitely don't regret it and I love my new last name! Although sometimes I still think of myself with my old last name and forget that it's different, haha. It's also a little strange knowing my last name is not the same as my parents and brother's anymore.

I hyphenated my name...professionally I go by my maiden name simply because hubby's last name is the same as my first. Of all the luck! I always wanted to change my name but when it came down to it I just couldn't be (ex Beverly Beverly). So having it hyphenated gives me the option of choosing what name I want people to know me by..except on legal things of course.

I got rid of my middle name and took my madien name as my middle name. It was important to both of us to have the same last name (and our kids too).

When I was young, I said that I'd only change my name if I got to use the capital lower capital (ex. McMom), which my husband's last name has. So I went from my cool last name to his, but it took me almost a year.

I'm going to (we're still engaged, wedding in 3 months) but I'm keeping my last name as a second middle name. It's really for the "have the same last name as future kids and hubby" not a traditional or obligatory thing for me.

I took his last name, and am glad I did. I dropped my maiden name altogether. I do miss it, but I guess I am a little traditional in that aspect.
