This seems to be an australian/NZ treat. I stumbled across it this morning on IG. Is Cherry Ripe Slice a tasty candy I should add to my holiday baking list? Someone enlighten me! I like to make sort of unusual candies/things for my holiday gift giving. I usually do jars of jams and jellies but that's not happening this year.

Mmmm Cherry Ripes. Best eaten in addition to Tim Tams and washed down with tea. I've never had homemade ones, but I worked with a bunch of Aussies and they always had some sent over. I loved them.

@plantains: I had to look up Tim Tams but good to know that Cherry Ripes are good! I'm picturing them like the sad (and gross) version of cherry filled chocolates we get in America, but....most American chocolate is kinda nasty anyways.
