We're thinking about baptizing DD when we visit my mom so that my grandma can witness it. It's a little tricky to have it done at church so we're looking into the possibility of having her baptized at home.
In this situation, am I supposed to tip the priest? One in particular is requesting for a $150 donation for his services. Do I add-on to the donation? If so, how much?
Also, how do I go about paying him? Cash in an envelope?

We tipped our priest $100 for each kids' baptism; we just handed him a card with cash in it after the baptism.
Are you parishoners at the church you're doing the baptism? If not, I would tip the priest on top of the donation. Usually the donation goes to the church and the priest usually doesn't get to keep any of it. Only a tip would go directly to the priest.

@Honeybee: The priest is non-denominational. I'm not exactly sure if he has a home church. We're planning to have him do it at my mother's house, not in a church.

@Crumbs: hmmmm, in that case I wouldn't tip. It sounds like the "donation" is really a service fee if he's not doing it at a church or as a service for a particular church.
