We were sat in our local pub's garden last night with E and a few friends, one of whom is pregnant. A lady (with two lively kids) walked past us and said "Just you wait until she's walking! Enjoy being able to sit out and relax while you can!". I took it as I think it was meant - two mums making a connection and bonding over war stories. I smiled at her and commented to DH "Wow, if I look as good as she does when we've got two running about, I won't mind at all". My friend, on the other hand, was really pissed off about it. "It never stops, does, it?" she raged, "the just you waits.... I'm so sick of it, just you wait until baby's here, ...ugh..."

I could definitely see her point (and in addition, she gets full permission to be as sensitive as she likes because she's 41.5 weeks pregnant!!) and I know a lot of Bees have said before that they get really irritated by these kinds of comments.

Do "just you wait" type comments bother you?
