I get asked this question so frequently. In fact, while still pregnant I often got asked when we were having the next. I have two boys and people keep asking because they think we "want to try for a girl." The thing is, my heart always wanted boys, and we always wanted two kids. We are so happy with our family and have no plans to change a thing about it.
Do people like to ask about your family plans?

We only have one but people ask how many more we plan to have. I'm not shy about the fact that we want to be done after two though!

people ask but most think that one of each is ideal, so they expect us to be done.

No. They just say "time for #2!" loudly. I don't want to think about the responses i would get if we said we were done.

Only by my husband--who used to be 100% 2 and through and is ALREADY talking about having a 3rd now. I'm going to throw a shoe at him if he keeps bringing it up while I'm in the throes of morning sickness.

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I get asked all the time if this is our last or if we are going to "try for a boy." I hate this comment more than anything, if we have a 3rd it's not to "get a boy" it's because we feel like our family is not complete and we want to expand.

@Modern Daisy: Same. Since D was like 9 months old. NO. And if I told them that we were most likely 1 and done, I got a whole litany of reasons why that's a terrible idea.
Why do people feel it's ok to comment on your family plans? Are you going to pay for my 2 kids in daycare? I didn't think so. Shut your hole.

Yes, but not too frequently. I think it will come more when I graduate because people knew I wasn't going to get pregnant while in school

Sometimes and I don't really have an answer. I'm not currently trying but I'm not ready to say I'm done! The dental hygienist asked during my cleaning last week. Tough question to answer while your teeth are being cleaned so I just said "We are for now!"

Constantly lately. I have one son and am due with twin boys any day now, so everyone who sees me asks first about when the twins are due and then if I'll be having any more. I want to ask, can I get through these ones first?!
