DS is almost 20 months. And the 'are you trying for #2' questions have started rolling in... I usually just try to smile it off... It's usually random comments from older family members so I try not to get annoyed about why the status of my uterus is so concerning to them

People ask if/when we're going to have a second. Family hasn't asked too much, but friends have. I'm actually far more open with friends than family, so i do not mind talking about it. We're all kind of in the same stage of our lives.

Once DS turned 1 we started to get this question all.the.time! It was super annoying, and frustrating when we went through a miscarriage a few months later. Now that I am pregnant, we are already getting the "are you having any more?" questions. Sheesh people, just let us take it one kid at a time!

Yup - it's usually framed by addressing LO "you should ask mommy for a brother or sister" - to which I reply, "it's a good thing it's not up to her!" Sigh.

Yes! The first few questions were well before lo's first birthday, and now she's almost two so pretty much every time we see our relatives, especially out of town ones, they're asking. I don't really mind so far!

Not yet, but he's only 8 months. Most people are telling me NOT to have another for awhile, but we'll be TTC after he turns one so...

I have only been asked by people I don't mind it coming from-- like, our play group mom friends will talk about it, so if they ask me, they are also talking about their own plans. C isn't quite a year yet, though. I've been pretty up front about not having them back to back though.

Yes. I don't mind it though, I just smile and say not yet and that we'd like them 3-4yrs apart anyway. (LO isn't 1 yet, so they know we've got a while to go before we think about it).

@lilteacherbee: I got those comments mixed in there too. But now that LO is getting close to two I have only got neutral to pro-baby comments.

People ask when we're having #3 all the time! We got asked while we were still in the hospital, after #2 just shot out of my vajay!

All the time. And it's always coming from people who know us well and not random strangers. The day care ladies. My MIL. My favorite aunt. The contractors I've worked with since I was fresh out of college. Even my mom, who I thought isn't a baby person, once said that she wished she had more kids. And it's such a sensitive topic... none of them know that I want a big family more than I want anything, or that we had a miscarriage in March, or what's going on with DH's work. I just smile and say thanks, I hope we have another someday... but I kind of wish they would stop asking.

All the time (she's 21 months.) It's hard sicne we are trying and I hate lying but also don't want to hear "why's it taking so long."

We heard it A LOT once DS hit 2. People started asking once DD turned 1 if we would have a third.

i'm asked casually, usually by mom friends with LOs DD's age, so i don't mind sharing that we aren't trying again for a bit since they usually share as well. nothing annoying yet! DD is 18 months.

When my niece was about 6 months old, I ran into some acquaintances of my brother (niece's father). They started grilling me when they would have another. I responded, "I don't know. I never asked since it is none of my business." If it's none of my business, it is certainly none of their business.

Oh gosh, that happened early - 6-7 months maybe? I always give a look of horror and shudder. They stop asking.

I started getting them almost right after LO was born! She's 13 months now and people ask more often, but there are no babies on the horizon for us, at least not yet. Hubby doesn't want anymore and I want to wait till LO is 3-4 before having another! I am having so much fun with my daughter I don't even want to think about another haha

We were at my cousins sons first birthday tonight, and a family friend said we'd better get started on #2, to which my husband replied "well, she's already 5 months pregnant!"

LO is 16 months so get asked all the time, mainly at work. My SIL just announced her pregnancy so I think the family attention will be off me for a while.
I don't mind the questions so much now. They really pissed me off when DH and I still weren't able to DTD a loooonngg time after LO was born. I'm sure the questions will bug me again if I don't get pregnant soon.
