Alsoallthetime because most people know we want 3!
My aunt wanted to know what we are waiting for....the baby is 4 months old and my older LO isn't even 2 yet! 3 under 3?
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
Never. More like they ask "So you're not planning on having another one anytime soon... Right?" But then again DS and DD are 13 months apart.
And when we tell people we'll eventually have a third one? Oh the looks.

My mom and her best friend came over on Monday and her friend asked when we're having another. M is only 3 weeks old!! I was like uhhh can we let my stitches dissolve first please?!
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Yep. I posted about it a bit ago. And my LO is only 2 months old!!

They did.... until I got pregnant. I didn't want anyone to know when we were going to start TTC so I would tell them the same thing every time- that we were waiting for LO to get a little more independent because pregnancy sucks for me and I needed her to be able to play on her own if I have a migraine. And then people would say things like, "so is LO getting more independent yet?" Yeah not very subtle.... I'd always say no.

All the time and they don't ask they tell. Of course they don't know I'm pregnant but they have been telling for months even before I was.

Since I'm pregnant with #2 right now, I usually get asked, "So, do you think you'll have a third?"

LO is two weeks old and I've been asked about our plans for the next one. Um, so not on my radar right now...
pomegranate / 3768 posts
Haha yes! LO is 8 months old. I usually say I definitely want DD to have a sibling but not right now!
coconut / 8681 posts
Nope lol. We never got to that point. I guess that's what happens when you get pregnant at 4 months PP.
Now everyone just asks how many we're going to have. I guess since we're having them so close together people assume that we want a billion kids. They aren't wrong

Yes, all the time! I already have two....
I started getting this question at the hospital, right after I popped out #2...

@NaturallyCathy: same here!
Any time I make ANY mention about not feeling good at all everyone's all "oh my gosh you're not pregnant are you?!" No.... "oh thank God, you better not be!". That right there makes me want to go get pregnant immediately! Lol
honeydew / 7283 posts
Yup! People love to tell me they were pregnant again by the time their LO was ---- months. Gah.

I'm just waiting to muster up the bravery to respond with, "yes. My husband and I plan to start that tonight- thanks for asking! I'll let you know how it goes :)"
Haven't had the guts to do it yet....

My family has been asking when we are going to have another since she was a month old. My cousin, 24, is like better not wait too long, you are getting old. I bit my tongue with that one.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
@Mrs. Pen: Lol. I always say to myself that I should respond with, "Yes, in fact DH and I are going to have unprotected sex tonight, thanks for reminding me!"

@Smurfette: oooohhh, that deserved a nasty comment right back!
R is only two months old so no one has said anything yet. I'm the one talking about starting next June!

@swedishfish: I was nice and just said my doctor told me I had nothing to worry about.

@jmarionsmith: I like how you separated your MIL from *people* . . . LOL!

No one has asked yet since pretty much everyone knows DS is, ahem, a handful... and only 3 months old.
But I secretly have total baby fever and want another ASAP. It hit me the minute I put away all the newborn clothes. Heh.

All the time. I kept having various milestones that I wanted to get past, and now I just say "March" since I'm ku

Yep. Then when I respond "never" I get " but you have to!!" How about you mind your own business

Yes, all the time. It really sucks when it comes along with a BFN, then I just want to brain them for being rude. Now when I say another is on the way, I hear "you know how that happens, right!" I hate the last comment so, so much! And it's usually from the same person asking both questions.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
Yeah, i get the 'so if this one is another girl are you going to try for a boy?'
We wont know until it happens... Or doesnt happen!
grapefruit / 4800 posts
I didn't get it too much except for some people asking about sometime in the future, they weren't really saying timetogetpregnantnow! Now that I"m pregnant with the 2nd people ask how many kids we want.

@Mrs. Pen: @petunia354: I always respond with a "hey, we're working on it ...ifyouknowwhatimean" *wink wink* the looks on peoples faces... priceless!

Sometimes. My family knows about our infertility issues (I'm including aunts & uncles in this) so they know the sensitivity of the issue & don't ask, but extended family don't, so we are asked at gatherings like weddings and graduations. It's uncomfortable, especially after two losses back to back.
I have a cousin the same age as me, who has a daughter about a year older than Chloe. His grandmother and mine are sister in laws. There is constant competition over who will have the second great grandchild and its so nerve wracking. Way to put pressure on me.
