I don't have experience with this but I've recently upped my veggie intake and wanted to make them last. If you have had a positive experience with a specific brand, that would be helpful too. Thanks.

Yup, we use the green bags from the as seen on TV products and it does make our salad greens last longer! The key is it has to be dry and put them in the crisper! I usually let the veg air dry a bit (I hate that markets spray them with water!!) then put them in the green bags with paper towels.

@regberadaisy: Thanks for that tip! I don't know these things! So do you salad spin it ahead of time?

@808love: I don't because then you have to chop a lot of the veg up to Fit it in? But I guess if you buy the loose arugula, spring mix etc, those do get pretty wet under the mister. So in those cases it might make sense?

Yes, absolutely. I use this one:
And it works beautifully. Cucumbers get dried out if they're cut, but everything else lasts for days or a week, or more. I'll pull lettuce from my garden, wash it, and it's still as fresh as new a week later. It's really helped my family to eat more veggies, because they're all ready and cut up and easy to grab.

Interesting! I might have to look into these. I swear I just bought a zucchini and then found it rotting on my counter this morning
