I buy new things regularly, because what he is into changes so frequently and often, he masters something and isn't interested in it anymore.

Lately, he's into transporation items, like trains, cars, bulldozers, etc, so we have a lot of different kinds of things.

We have a good amount....gifts, hand me downs and I like buying new toys.

We have one basket of little things. Most she has out grown. The piano from her activity mat and an exersaucer. I ordered her a walker that will get here tomorrow. That is all. I want to buy her more, cause I think she is bored but I know she is going to get so many for Christmas in 2 months. I have a music table for her, but I am trying to hold off and save it for Christmas as planned.

I buy a lot of toys and have no qualms spending money on them if I think they are good quality and have a long shelf life. We have a good stash and while DD often forgets about things or loses interest, sure enough, within the month she'll rediscover something and it'll become her new favourite thing all over again.

I always buy stuff on sale ... if it's a great deal, I'll buy it and save it for a rainy day She's got a huuuuuge collection... people often comment that it looks like a daycare or something.

We have a play room at our house that has a bin of random toys that have been building up, an easal, a small piano and play kitchen and some ride on toys. Down stairs we have a closet full of puzzles, duplo's, blocks, ride on toys and a zany zoo + small basket of toys. At my parents house, we took our toys over there for a play room. They have a train table, a doll house, a small kitchen, a cozy coupe, some more ride on toys and a lot of little people toys.

But that's almost 5 years worth of a stash. I now buy books and puzzles only.

I try not to buy too many , but I always have my eye on something new. I try to focus on having a few really awesome toys

I stocked and set-up his entire playroom which is a pretty large, filled room......and it still doesn't even come close to the amount of toys that the grandparents buy.
Most his toys are gifts from them.

We have a large stash of toys, but in reality we have bought very few of those! Most were gifts or hand-me-down for her cousin who is "over" them. (my sister has a shopping problem when it comes to her kids haha!)

We haven't bough much at all, most of the ones we have are hand me downs or gifts. We have two baskets and one shelf in the living room, the play kitchen, and more in his room. We have a lot more outside, which is a little excessive, but he loves it!

@mrsjyw: If my husband answered on my behalf he would resoundingly say yes. Sadly DS's favorites include: spatulas, wooden spoons, pots/pans, and snapware.
