We do! Lately she's been into Paw Patrol and Peppa pig so she has a good amount of those and plays with them daily. Some characters come and go a little quicker than others so we wait a bit before investing too much. I'm working on Christmas shopping and hesitant to buy too much of one character in case she outgrows it by then, although that's mostly what she's asking for!

Yup! My kids love to get them... although I've noticed that they don't usually get extended play. Except for these two My Little Ponies that they brush in the bathtub... the kids have played with those ponies for dozens of hours!!

Besides Curious George and Daniel Tiger, she's not too into characters yet. And since they're not heavily commercialized the merchandise is pretty expensive! So she doesn't have much.

Nope. We don't buy a ton of toys ... if we do, it's mostly open-ended toys like blocks or craft supplies. Maybe this happens as LO gets older?

@Bao: Nearly 2. She's never liked toys much though. She prefers to be making something or destroying the house ;). Also, she goes to a Montessori/RIE school, so she's just used to "boring" wooden toys, lol.

Yes, there is pretty much a Thomas explosion in the play room. We have an excessive amount of trains. I don't give in too much and most are gifted. LO2 is really into Daniel Tiger, and I can't wait to get him some special books and toys for his birthday.

My Little Pony is a staple in this house for the past several months. Actually any kind of horse, but she loves the MLP names and cutie marks. We have a LOT of Disney Princess stuff (barbies, dolls, Little People) that were all gifts.

Yes, we have Mini my little ponies (but they aren't into the show), peppa, magic clip princesses, little people, etc.

Yup, I feel like it's hard to avoid! We have Daniel Tigers trolley, lots of Cars stuff and he loves the paw patrol stuff at Grandma's house!

Of course. I was anti-character before my son was born but I've realized that the more I fought it, the more he wanted it.

Not yet. She doesn't know about characters yet and I don't encourage it. But when she likes it on her own and asks, sure.

Yes, both love Thomas, Cars, and superheroes! We buy the cheap Thomas stuff only though. Oldest loves Wild Kratts, youngest has a Daniel Tiger set he loves.

I did for D. He's outgrown most toys, these days.
I do for M, too. He loves Mickey Mouse, so he has a lot of those, and a lot of Minion things.

Not yet because he doesn't recognize any particular characters yet. However, he's into airplanes, cars/trucks, and animals so we've bought him a few pajamas that have them on it and he gets so excited about! He'll point it out to us like, "look mama! cars!" or if it's an airplane or whatever it is, he'll say that.

Yep, Disney Princesses, Sofia the First, and Doc McStuffins have all entered our lives. I'm fine with it, I'm okay with toys, but I avoid the clothes if I can!

Yep! I have/will never try to avoid it. She especially loves all things Disney Princess, but she's also into MLP, Paw Patrol, Daniel Tiger, and Doc McStuffins.

I normally don't have any problem with it but my kids aren't into that stuff fully yet. However, I work with a lot of royalty contracts at my work since my company sells some licensed items. Let me tell you, there are a few companies that are very difficult to work with so I am more apt to not buy their stuff as a sort payback to them that they'll never feel.
Not to name names but they own many of the licensed characters mentioned in this thread. . .

No, not yet. My son is almost 28 months and doesn't know any characters except maybe Elmo from daycare. I'd like to avoid them as long as possible, but when he asks then we will buy him some!
