My clothes were so much nicer when I was a teenager, my clothes budget is pretty much zero. LO has style though, which is good...at least someone does.

Since I'm getting "older" but still don't have kids yet, I'm going to say yes. But I only very recently purged my closet and got rid of a bunch of stuff I'd had for 10+ years. Yeah. Then I went and bought some nicer quality "classic" pieces and a few "trendy" pieces.

I've had to scale up for new job responsibilities.

We are sure to budget for each of us. DH doesn't usually want new clothes, so the budget is for what J needs and myself. I get something probably once a month but usually don't spend more than $50-$100/month. Even that is a little high.

Since I've been working my budget is a little higher getting some staples for work attire.

When I was SAHM I hardly ever went shopping. J outgrows his clothes so much that we had to budget about $100-$150/season.

i bought nice clothes before i had a baby. now i just wear t shirts and leggings all the time, and i don't want to have to dry clean clothes that she'll eventually spit up or drool or poop/pee on. so i rarely buy any nice clothes for myself anymore. and any time i try to go shopping for myself i end up going to the baby stores and buying clothes for her that she doesn't need!

@looch: That sounds like me . . . Most of my clothes are higher end, but not designer! I do, however, have a few nice handbags (like a couple of Modalu bags), but that's because quality shoes and handbags really elevate an ensemb! You can scrimp in other places, but shoes/bags is not it! And I won't spring for anything expensive (or full retail!) unless it's absolutely my taste.

I've always bought nice stuff, but would also buy cheap stuff like Forever 21 when I was younger and the deals/finds were intriguing enough to wade through the racks. Now, I pretty much only buy nice stuff because I break out in hives thinking about digging through the overstuffed racks at the bargain places. I just cannot handle it. I went to the 2B/Bebe outlet the other day and was just so overwhelmed that I decided I'll just stick to good ol' regular Bebe!

I pretty much shop at Old Navy, Target, and New York and Co for casual wear, but for work I like to go to nice consignment shops. I don't have a huge budget for clothes, but I do like to get 2-3 new outfits every season for work.

Haha, I buy most stuff on line! I hardly have the time or patience to go through the racks like I used to!

Now I buy much nicer/new stuff. I don't have any LOs yet though.

Nope, I shop way less often and totally cheap out when I actually do. Before I had bills and responsibilities, it was way easier to drop money on clothes!
