I'll admit to being a total hoarder. It's paid off though - I put things away and am pleasantly surprised when I find a stockpile of my favorite clothes when he moves into the next size up.

I see myself doing this when I start having to buy most of her clothes. Right now, my mom keeps her fully clothed, but a lot of times she picks what she likes more than what I like. She just put in another order to Carter's and I made her order pajamas and an outfit that I wanted!

I used to, but then I realized that there are sales all the time, and I'll often forget about the clothes that I previously bought hidden in a drawer. This leads me to buying more of that same size and they end up with too much. So now I tread carefully because I only really want to buy what they need and not go overboard.

YES! I have two pairs of pajamas from Carter's that I have loved since he was a NB so I bought them in every size available.

Yep! If I love it, I buy it in a couple sizes. Dh thinks I am crazy.

I've been doing it with multipacks of onesies when I can get a great price and pants that I know are the same every single season.

I definitely do, especially when I can get things on crazy good clearances like $2 shirts and things like that.

I used to when she was little! There were several outfits she owned in more than one size. haha. Glad Im not the only one.

I'm totally tempted to on occasion. I haven't yet, but that's because you don't often find things in consignment stores in different sizes.

I have old navy jeggings in three sizes. I just really like them! But I don't buy much ahead of her actual size since I can never predict when she will grow.

Yep, a kids store near me recently had their sleepers on a clearance rack for $1.75 and then 70% off all clearance. I now own 3 designs of sleeper with two in each size.

I haven't done too much of this yet (DD is 9mo). I've had a few regrets when a favorite outfit is outgrown -- or becomes too stained or shrunken from aggressive washing trying to get said stain out (oops!) -- so I think I'll start buying an extra size of super cute pieces!

I have only done it when there is a really amazing deal. I am tempted a lot, but hold back because I have very little extra room to store things.

Yes, total hoarder here. But I only buy essentials, like leggings and onesies, tees, hats, mittens, boots, jackets. If I really like the fit of something and LO gets a lot of use out of it, whenever it's on super sale, I hoard. For a lot of the things, I buy 2 sizes up for maximum use

Sometimes I used to. And now it often works out that DD2 can wear the smaller size while DD1 wears the bigger size. Same goes for coordinating items from the same "collection" at places like Gap.
I won't buy duplicates any more though now that I know everything is bound to make a reappearance on DD #2.

I do, especially for sale items. The temperatures have been very fall like for the last week and I was so excited to be able to pull out a few fall dresses for LO2 that I bought last winter when they were on sale! And if I find sale items of something I like, I buy multiples.

Yes. The Target skinny pants that look like real pants with pockets and belt loops but are really just stretchy pants go on clearance for $2 at the end of the season and I buy various sizes and keep some and hand up to the friend that gives me all of her hand me downs. It's like buying for the next year without having to store it at my own house.

I wish I had. She has a shirt and a pair of shoes that are her favorite. It's a constant battle trying to get her to wear something else. The shirt is an 18m and she needs a 3t! It's from two years ago and I can't find a replacement.

I haven't yet just because we have very harsh winters and hot summers and his growth has been off the charts, so I never know what would be in season! It's a great idea though, especially for favorites!
honeydew / 7917 posts
I now have Natives in every size from 5 - 10 (two pairs in size 5's actually). $15 was too good to pass on a new pair.
I typically try not to do this, but if it's an item that I know my LO will wear year after year, then I will buy them for the next season.

I buy some matching stuff for my girls so poor LO 2 has two rounds of the same outfit.
Oh, I also bought a few of my favorite sleepers in bigger sizes for LO 2...sleep and plays from Carters!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
Yes - especially for basics and pjs. I just bought some more sleepers for baby #2 and I bought 8 in 3 months and another 8 in 6 months in the exact same patterns. LO has the same brand of jeggings from 6 months to 3T...they're a good fit, a great layering piece...so when they go on sale we stock up!

I don't usually, but I did with a couple items of Xander's that I just LOVED.
cherry / 231 posts
I don't because I like having different clothes when she moves up a size, but my mom does. She can't pass up a good deal. So she has a few outfits in several sizes.
pomegranate / 3872 posts
Yup. If I find something I love I get the next few sizes up. She has some cute shoes that go with everything so when they went on sale I bought two more sizes!
cherry / 233 posts
I did a little when he was a baby but now that he's a toddler I don't. His growth has slowed down a lot and he's on the small side so I can never accurately predict what size he will be in since we live in a four season climate.
pomegranate / 3272 posts
When it comes to the basics, absolutely. Due to the awesome sale on jeans that Target just had, DS is good on everyday jeans until he grows out of 4T.
blogger / pomegranate / 3044 posts
DS1 has worn the same sneakers from target in sizes 5-7, and I have 8-9 waiting after that
I also buy off season pjs in whatever sizes they have, scored some Halloween ones in several!
