I'm 'a big card person, I love cards and have a big box saved of all important cards that I've received in my lifetime.
Oddly enough, I don't buy cards for my kids. I kinda forgot/ran out of the time for their first then didn't buy the subsequent years. I stood in the card aisle yesterday for DD1's 4th birthday and didn't really see anything I loved that just screamed her.
I want to start and I hope she doesn't wonder why there are no cards for years 1-3!

I do. They like them, especially my older one since she can read what I write to her now. But I don't think I keep them all anyway.

I don't, but we buy cards for other people...he's never questioned why I don't give him any.
I love the idea to save them and give them for a milestone birthday!

We did a "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" theme for my daughter's first birthday and bought a nice copy of the book and are going to write messages in that every year and give it to her when she's 18.

@charleysmom: DD1 is "graduating" from preschool this year and that's a gift I'm buying for her. I'm going to ask all her teachers to sign it and going forth. It'll be her high school graduation gift!

I'm the opposite, I rarely buy cards for other people but I always do for LO. She gets a real kick out of them, especially the ones that play music.

last year I bought him the Happy Birthday, Mouse book (If you give a mouse a cookie mouse) but this year I got him a card. he liked looking at dh's birthday cards last month so I thought he would like it.
