Yep! It makes it so much easier for everyone to open their presents if the dog has something new of his own to be distracted by.

She get a big rawhide bone every year. This year I think she'll get a new leash, but that's really more for me than her.

Yup! We just ordered him a hoodie and a couple of tuff toys. I usually pick up a new antler, too.

Nope because we just buy him whatever he needs throughout the year. We bought him a doggie cake for his bday and he didnt' care for it so we've skipped that on his bday.

Every year. It's one part Christmas cheer, one part strategy. They get a new bone every year on Christmas morning so they leave us alone while we have breakfast and open gifts.

haha i already did! And already gave them their new toys. it makes the tree and the presents much less enticing.

Yep, the cats get toys and the dog gets a HUGE bone that usually takes him months to eat.

I never got my dog anything for Christmas. Always celebrated his birthday with treats though

Yes...I usually wrap them but she stole her toy off the table and has been playing with it all night! At least I still have a sweater in her stocking for Christmas day.

We do! We just get them special, fancy treats that we wouldn't normally buy.
A friend of mine makes these cookies called Little Eatz that are cookies both you and your dog can eat, but we just give them to the dogs. They actually do taste good, though!

Yes! Our big dog loves to unwrap his present. It's hilarious.

Yup, we always get kitty her own Christmas gifts! My mom and my aunt also get my cat gifts and I get their cats gifts haha my aunt gave my cat a big bag of catnip which my cat already sniffed out of its hiding place and tore into. My mom always makes her a gift bag with treats and toys and we always buy her some special treats and gifts.

Yes, we spent more on the dog than anyone else (except each other, lol)

Yes! I bought our chihuahua two sweaters, harness and toy. I bought our pomeranian a harness (she doesn't wear sweaters or play with toys). I also bought them dog cookies as well as some Petco stuff.

Yes, usually just a squeaky toy for Helo and frisbees for Charlie. I got an adorable toy for Helo last week and the little brat FOUND IT and tore it up already. Our dogs never mess with food, the garbage, things sitting out around the house, etc. but somehow he located a Petsmart bag among all the Christmas gifts in our dining room, found his own toy and destroyed it already. Too smart for his own good!

Totally. Our pets are family. So even our family who lives out of state mails our furkids gifts. LOL

No. She's a dog. She has no idea it's Christmas and she's rolled in poop twice this week, so she's on the naughty list, anyways.

@bree72: just laughed out loud.
Our pup got a new bed and some bones for Hanukkah. Probably would have bought them anyway, but it's nice to include her in the gift giving

@bree72: hahahahaha!!
Yes, we do! Both the dog and the cat have stockings...
pomegranate / 3032 posts
Darwin gets a stocking every year and this year he'll get some new toys, treats and new dog tags since some of the info rubbed off on his original tags

@FriedBabyMama: @.twist.: Yeah, yeah; it's all fun and games 'til you're scrubbing crap off a dog at 10 pm in 40 degree weather.

@bree72: hahaha, I get that for sure! Luckily our dog doesn't roll in poop, however, my cat has the strangest addiction to eating and then throwing up elastic bands, so whenever he gets his little paws on one (usually rare and by accident!) I get to clean up lovely little piles of puke all over my carpet, god forbid he throw up on the hardwood and make my life easier.

Awww... I feel bad. My Chloe doesn't get anything but she doesn't play with toys, doesn't go out or walks anymore (she's blind), and doesn't like any chew toys. I usually get her a new sweater or dress if I see something I like though.
