When you repin something, do you keep the origional description or make up a new one?
I keep most of them and tend to change them when I like something specific in it, or have an actual plan for it.
So, I have a lot of pins that say "perfect for Emilys room!!" "Master bed" "love this", etc. That I didn't write. What about you?

Same as you. I usually keep it the same but I take out specifics- when people name other people or their plans for it.

If it already says what I would say I don't touch it. I do modify a good number of them, though.

I change a lot of them. I don't like when an entire recipe is in the description, so I'll delete it and just write whatever the pin is. I remove personal things like "perfect for X." I'd say I edit them more often than not.

I never make my own. Either does my mom. It's so funny to read some of her captions, like perfect for babies room. Then I jokingly ask if shes prego.

It depends. If it's like, a legit description, I'll keep it. However, it's is something personal or just plain stupid, I'll change it.

I usually use the description that's there, unless it's specific to the pinner (I'd change something like "For Emily's room") or expresses something I don't believe (like, "I'd like to see this that and the other here instead but xxx"). Sometimes I'll add something if I really love something in particular. In general though I'm pretty lazy about my repins. I always try to credit photographers/stylists in my own pins (I tend to pin largely home decor) but I almost never click through to get a source for a repin, which is lousy of me.

I do the same as the majority... keep it if it makes sense and edit if it doesn't.

I have something like 4500 pins and I recall completely changing all of 2 of them. I normally will either delete the whole caption and just space bar so that it lets me accept or I'll edit what was originally there to only include a description and not all of the other stupid commentary. I don't want people thinking I'm overly excited about some random chocolate cake recipe.

I'm also starting to click through to make sure it's linked to a proper source, not google or tumblr. It drives me nuts when that happens!

I change them 1/2 the time, especially when the description has a lot of exclamation marks, like:
"Amazing recipe!!!!!!!!!!!! Healthy but tastes like a donut!!!!!! YUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYY.
I'll delete everything, but "Healthy but tastes like a donut". hehe

If the description is applicable to me, I keep it. Otherwise, I change it something else.

I usually edit them, especially if it's not something I would ever say! If it's just a description or info about the actual link, I'll keep it. I actually like it when the directions are in the caption, especially for an easy recipe, so that way I can just refer to my pin instead of clicking on the link. There have been times, though, when I've forgotten and there's something random written and I think "haha I hope my friends don't think I wrote that!".

Almost always. I'm a writer/editor by profession so I can't stand to pin anything that's really poorly written. I don't mean to be a snob, I swear!
I also delete parts of pin descriptions when they say things like "BEST THING EVERRRRRRRRR" haha.

@Penny Lane: Ah! I have started to do that, too! I was getting so frustrated when people wouldn't pin things correctly, so I try to check the source when I can too.

I never change them but really should. I *always* wonder if my friends have actually tried things or not (Made this tonight, OMGGG!)
