my dentist friend said that this isn't necessary that very 3-6 months is fine, but I always do after I'm really sick!

I don't replace it but will put it in some boiling water to sanitize it.

i do. i buy toothbrushes in bulk and switch them out every 2-3 months..... sooner if i've been sick.

This makes me think of the Velveteen Rabbit when they threw all the toys away...I would never do that to a perfectly good toothbrush! Also, replacement heads are expensive.

It never occurred to me to to do this...
